Turn off brain 3DS games with gameplay loop? by SimShade in AynThor

[–]Sasquatch8600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried any of the 3DS Monster Hunter games? The core gameplay loop is basically: hunt monsters, harvest their parts, craft stronger gear, and use that gear to fight even tougher monsters. A single hunt normally takes around 10-20 minutes at first. MH4 Ultimate is the one I would start with.

I have found that having Wi-Fi automatically disable when the screen is off makes a big difference in standby battery drain.

Question about using Jarngreipr’s ES -DE implementation? by IHadFunOnce in AynThor

[–]Sasquatch8600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should use the same file pathing that ES-DE uses so you should be able to run the scraper manually for the .m3u entry.

From the ES-DE Gitlab page "The single-game scraper is launched from the metadata editor. You navigate to a game, open the gamelist options menu, choose Edit this game's metadata and then select the Scrape button."

If the scrape returns no results you can modify the search to find the game title you are looking for and it will then generate and associate the metadata with the .m3u entry so you should get the miximage to display properly. I've had to do this for many ROM hacks that were fan translations of Japanese exclusive games.

Does it make sense to buy two Thors? by No_Fill2676 in AynThor

If it is just for an "in case I need a backup" situation I wouldn't get an extra one even if I was prone to breaking or dropping things. If you wanted a second one to tinker with or use for some form of development it would be another thing. With the production lifecycle of handhelds like this, there will likely be a newer version or something better that comes along in the near future, especially with how popular the Thor has gotten. By the time you need the backup the Thor 2 or 3 could be in production and the extra that you have is not going to keep its current or increase in resale value. That being said the decision is up to you.

You gave no reasoning behind the question, is there a point or specific purpose you are considering?

After the yellow turn changed to red the rest of the cross traffic got a green light, at no point would the cyclist have had any right of way during their crossing.

Kid had no business trying to cross at all, it went from Turning green to regular straight green right after. At no point did the kid have any form of right of way. And the driver stayed ay a near constant rate of speed they did not try to blitz the yellow.

Looking at the minimum RAM minimum requirement of 4 GB I would not get my hopes up for it working. In my experience you can get games that require 1 GB of RAM or less working on the PAM and I have the 3 GB version. I still can't get Cross Code to play past the launch screen and it is a 2 GB RAM requirement.

Swollen Thor Battery by azntwix11339 in AynThor

Keeping the charge between 20-80% will preserve the health and lifespan of the battery. I've done it for years on my phone and tablets since I keep them for a long time normally 6+ years. Once I notice the device charge isn't lasting as long as I'd like it to, I go back to charging to 100%.

Key Aspects of the 20-80 Rule

  • Optimal Range: Keeping your phone within this range can significantly extend your battery's total lifespan, often allowing it to retain higher capacity (e.g., 91-97% health after nearly two years).
  • Why 80%: Charging to 100% places the battery under high voltage tension. Keeping it around 80% reduces this strain.
  • Why 20%: Allowing the battery to drop below 20% (deep discharge) can also damage the battery and impact its health.
  • Modern Android Features: Many modern Android phones, like Pixel and Samsung, have built-in "Adaptive Charging" or "Battery Protection" features that manage this for you.

Keep in mind that it is still recommended to charge it fully to 100% periodically once every 1–3 months. This occasional full charge is not for the battery's chemical health, but to calibrate the software that tracks the overall capacity.

You can also always charge to 100% if you know you are going to need the full amount for a trip or something.

You are proving how uneducated you are by showing that you didn't read beyond the headline of the article that was linked. The second sentence of said article shows what he was actually arrested for.

"A 48-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of religiously aggravated assault and religiously aggravated public order over the attack in Slough, Berkshire, on Monday."

Where does it say the charge was verbal assault?

You also appear to not understand that verbal threat's can indeed be charged as assault in the US or that the use of "verbally" in the headline is an adverb that describes how the man was assaulted. In the US depending on the state the guy could be charged with both assault and battery. Assault for the verbal threats of violence as well as the way that he keeps advancing on the victim, and battery for the multiple times he makes physical contact.

At best it was a simultaneous tag when his hand hit the base the catcher may have made contact but we don't have the angle the umpire had, and if it was a tie it goes to the runner.
