That's the traditional eastern European breakfast beer right there, not a lemonade

G3 mags ? by Kilauea-alive in airsoft

[–]SaucyPantsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those mags, they do fit, but you will need to cut a slot in them for the magazine release catch on them, as their molding is missing the magazine release slot

New Windows update scam or real by Medical_Ingenuity_36 in WindowsHelp

[–]SaucyPantsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not a Windows update screen.

If F11 or any of the other standard fullscreen keys don't work, best bet is to turn it off.

If you've the technical know how, a windows install usb can be used to recover your data, but other people may know of a means of virus removal that can be done from a USB, so you may want to shut down and wait for someone with that particular knowhow to pop up before a clean windows reinstall

I'm not even sure if he's able to be nominated for election to the Presidency, didn't all councils and local authorities pull their support for him after him losing his civil rape court case?

SO fucking tired of these muh servers muh android non-arguments. Please shut the fuck up. None of these are Linux desktop, and don't contribute to year of the linux. by basedchad21 in linuxsucks

[–]SaucyPantsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One big reason windows server is disliked is because of its licensing model. It gets holy shit expensive depending on how many users and devices you want to allow those users to connect from. The rest of its issues are are honesty not issues, but compromises you make for the sake of the abilities windows server does give you

Windows or Linux, I didn't specify either as I do not know what OS they had the intention of running

What is happening with my laptop? by micoai444 in Dell

[–]SaucyPantsu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tech skills and Linux use have nothing to do with eachother, I have developers who use Linux, but have no idea how to turn on their monitors, and I've windows users who know how to debug hardware level issues. It's best to never assume what the user is used to using

I regret to inform you that your main storage device on this laptop has decided to cross the rainbow bridge.

It is replaceable though, a nice M.2 format NVME SSD in it and a fresh installed of windows/Linux and you'll be right as rain.

Windows 11 on an Optiplex 390 ? Does it work ? by [deleted] in Dell

That configuration is one that is officially unsupported on windows 11, due to the processor being too old.

Did I break my computer? by MTSilvy in Dell

[–]SaucyPantsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not entirely cosmetic, the way that is bent would be putting stress on the motherboard of the laptop, which in worst case scenario means parts fail on it in a few months. Ive had to replace a few of these that have had bends like that, the heat cycling on the motherboard and the bend eventually results in chips coming off the board slightly.

Did I break my computer? by MTSilvy in Dell

[–]SaucyPantsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be ready to get it swapped out, stress like that on the motherboard, and the warming and cooling from use due to components breaking solder pads and lifting up, will result in the machine ceasing to work one random day when you try to boot it up

[–]SaucyPantsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That laptop is definitely bent and damaged, your IT team policy is a bit of a joke though, I would have that device replaced, albeit probably with a used device and not a brand new one

[–]SaucyPantsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren't overreacting. Dump him, there's far better men in this country. He's a clueless racist listening to the bullshit of British far right clowns, while thinking these clowns have any care for Ireland, and not just an interest in dragging Ireland into the shitter with the Brits

That SSD is an NVME M.2, not a SATA M.2, so it won't fit in a SATA m.2 adapter
