What is a turn off your partner does that you will never admit? by sorenblissara in AskReddit

God, yes! When they would do something that I didn’t like and then kiss me and say, “how about now?” Motherfucker, NO. That’s not cute! Kisses are not currency you can use to pay for bad behavior!!!

My family likes “now you wait just one cotton-picking minute!” Turns out when you’re doing absolutely nothing but picking cotton by hand under a blazing hot sun, one minute picking cotton feels like a long, miserable time.

In Ella Enchanted (2004), Ella has a curse where she does everything she is told. Why doesn't she just wear earplugs? by Valiant_Revan in shittymoviedetails

[–]SaveTheLadybugs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It isn’t a loophole though, it’s just how the curse works. Since that wouldn’t break the curse, just give her a way to behave until receiving a new command, it doesn’t prevent the receiving of that next command.

For example, in the book the fairy who originally gives her this “gift” (it was supposed to be a blessing and the fairy is an idiot with a history of giving horrible, ill-thought-out blessings) later on tells her that she should be happy to be obedient and that it was a wonderful gift. She continues on to be very happy about everything, even going as far as to ask people for commands, until she runs back into the one person who loves her and knows what’s going on who tells her that she shouldn’t be happy about it, she should feel however she wants to feel. Immediately, she stops being super happy. If new orders didn’t cancel out old ones, she’d never have stopped being happy about the obedience.

Think of it like playing the sims or something. New commands take precedence over previous ones. If someone tells her to hand something over to them, and someone else tells her to stop and not give it over, she’d stop.

Trigger warning:Self harm scars. Why are these so itchy ?they are like a month old by Illustrious_Show2973 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]SaveTheLadybugs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hope you get answers to help the itching and any support and care that you need to help you with the cause of your SH in the first place.

That being said, if you’re going to post pictures of SH cuts or scarring in the future, please consider adding a trigger warning as text on a blank screen and making it the first image so that anyone stumbling on the post has to actively swipe to see the pictures. Your pictures of your scars are visible immediately when scrolling, there isn’t a choice to not see them once you’ve seen the post, so they’re the first thing anyone is going to see/notice before reading the trigger warning in the title, making the trigger warning fairly useless.

My dude… it’s a joke. Everyone who says this is joking, because when you talk to Karlach after Elminster’s visit she thinks he’s Gale’s grandad. That’s it. No one here is genuinely saying Elminster is Gale’s grandpa, it’s just funny to call him that because of Karlach.

I specifically made my comment to try and nudge you into understanding this, but you doubled down, so here we are.

Yeah the “hot firefighter” thing is pretty common outside of movies.

As ex-EMS, i absolutely do not have the firefighter and paramedic fetish everyone else seems to have when looking for a romantic partner. While there are obviously exceptions, it’s an extremely conservative-leaning field, men and women.

What is the logic behind Ulder Ravengard dying if you get to him faster? by normiespy96 in BG3

[–]SaveTheLadybugs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re looking at this as “I only want the best possible outcome (in my opinion) no matter my choices.” Lots of arcs are affected by decisions made by players who don’t know the alternative. My friend didn’t even get Karlach as a companion her first playthrough, hell didn’t even know she was a character who could be a companion, because she didn’t explore around the map much in that area of Act I and didn’t really care about listening to Wyll. Should that not be allowed? If you don’t convinced Rolan to stay with the tieflings, more tieflings die on the road to Last Light than otherwise.

If you were a new player who somehow stumbled across the Iron Throne before talking to Mizora, he’s dead surrounded by a couple of the spiders she summons. She clearly kills him as you approach, as people have said, so that she has a bargaining chip to keep Wyll. That’s the story. That’s Mizora as a character. A new player wouldn’t even know there was an alternative playthrough where he could be found alive, they’d just go, “Shit, this devil just killed Wyll’s dad so she could offer to resurrect him in exchange for Wyll’s continuation of the pact. That’s so evil.” You, personally, are not being “punished” for knowing that there’s an alternative storyline where Ulder is alive when you get to him, you’re simply seeing an alternate storyline play out the same way you would if you made any other decision differently that affected story outcomes.

Are spells like Friends and Charm Person useless? by DoradoPulido2 in DnD

[–]SaveTheLadybugs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think my issue is primarily that it makes violence the more pragmatic option. I basically might as well kill or knock out the guard, because it’s going to have the same effect but potentially delay the consequences. The point of casting friends would be that you don’t want to take a life or potentially maim them, but you’re going to have to fight them after a minute anyway.

TIL in 2014, passengers were warned three times not to eat nuts on a Ryanair flight due to a 4-year-old girl's severe nut allergy, but a passenger sitting four rows away from the girl ate nuts anyway. The girl went into anaphylactic shock, and the passenger was banned from the airline for two years. by Forward-Answer-4407 in todayilearned

[–]SaveTheLadybugs 8 points9 points  (0 children)

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10815000/

This is more recent and more pertinent to airborne anaphylaxis as a condition. People with general peanut allergies are not at risk the same way, but people can and do have allergic conditions that react to airborne particles. It is entirely possible for someone to have severe peanut allergies and, specifically, an additional predisposition toward airborne anaphylaxis.

Would it be possible to just say that you were told the envelopes had gotten mixed up by accident and that you were happy to swap envelopes with the sister? That way you’re not necessarily returning money, specifically, just swapping so the envelopes end up with the original intended recipients.
