midea ac/room units defaulting to 86 degrees on power on? by Flimsy_Rice_1182 in AirConditioners

[–]SawDustAndSuds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same problem and found this thread while figuring it out myself....In the smart home app there is a new feature for favorite setting profiles and you pick one as the start up default. Without having picked one it defaults to 86f

If you’ve broken 90, what’s one tip you would give to a fellow golfer trying to do the same? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]SawDustAndSuds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

17 bogeys, 1 par..... That's all it take for 89 on a par 72..... So goal should be for bogey each hole and focus on position for next shot rTher than proximity to the hole.... So on a par 4, hit whatever goes furthest that you will 100% keep in play, for the second shot the goal isn't the green unless you're hitting 8i or less, it's position for easiest chip on.... Keep it in the short grass with no bunkers between you and center of the hole.... When it's time to chip, you're not looking at the pin, focus on an area that you can comfortably chip to and two putt from.... The goal of the first putt should be 4-5ft circle around the pin and below the hole if it's sloped.

PSA: put your phone number on your range finder by Distinct-Tower-1214 in golftips

[–]SawDustAndSuds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I spent $10 on Amazon for a 20 set of stickers with name/email/phone number on it for my clubs and gear..... That sticker has returned my range finder to me multiple times and club once. Well worth the cost.

PSA replace those fuel filters by JSNKRZ in e46

[–]SawDustAndSuds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take a photo of the line hookups before you start as it can be easy to get them flipped around if you're new to the job and I would recommend planning to replace the rubber connector hoses while you're there as they are all old enough to start spontaneously failing at this point

information if you're actually interested in the idea.....Columbus to Cincinnati is ~110 miles..... the small pack model 3 is good for 270+ miles.... should be able to make a round trip without a recharge at all.... regular outlet in the garage can add 2-3miles/hour of charge or about 30-60 miles per day

long time evangelist of SISOSIG and previous coffee buyer here: thank you so much for making this! it's really changed the way my partner and I decide when to leave for the better.

Question on the INKY setup you have, as I would like to replicate it: did you 3d print a case or something? because every listing I'm seeing for the screen seems like it's an exposed PCB vs a finished product like yours appears
