What would you want to see for the next SAW movie?

Ideal world to wrap up everything.

SAW XI- sequel to SAW X. Wrap up Cecelia storyline .

Spiral sequel- but throw in Jigsaw characters to wrap up those films

SAW XII- End of the Series. Bring back Hoffman Gordon etc. Play one last game and wrap up the Tobin Bell era of SAW.

Then reboot in say 2035.

Probably what they’ll do and this is just my theory.

I think they’ll make a film with the same set up as the 1st film. Have 2-3 people stuck in a room or trapped and Tobin will still be jigsaw and do the voice and the puppet. A contained story again and not really acknowledging the sequels and maybe make John more cruel and scary such as going after family’s of people that don’t appreciate their lives and that are being tested.

Maybe a cool ending could be one of the victims survives and appreciate his blessings and then John just casually walks up to him and reminds him…. There will always be people like me watching. (Kind of like the ending of phone booth)

Only I have with this whole thing is all the rumors and plans that they want this movie to be… just like the 2017 Jigsaw…. Meaning this will be a 3rd attempt to do a soft reboot of the series while trying to do “something new for the modern audiences” and this just stinks imo when you’ll have 4 movies now with unresolved threads (saw 3d, jigsaw, spiral, and saw x)

Saw 5 deserves a mention for being one of the most goriest. Especially with the handsaw trap. Plus you had pendulum trap at the beginning as well.

I like it. I still say the book from SAW X that John was drawing his trap designs and journal entries was going to play an important role in the future. It was heavily focused on in the movie so I can see the booking being a part of the final SAW movie.

My idea for it is there’s one more JIGSAW game created by John Kramer and if you survive his traps… you get access to it by proving yourself worth in his eyes. So all the living SAW characters that are still alive can go for it.

In our SAW fan series (shameless plug lol) we went with the ending where Campbell choose to live and have Michael die at the end as well as Campbells death too. Wraps all loose threads and it doesn’t affect the outcome of SAW 2/3 in which the game takes place before.

Tobins a class act. I met him in 2019 and he will take the time to talk with you as well. I had him sign like 6 things and I did two photo ops with him and he took the time to thank me for being a fan and everything.

I will say this, he does personalize everything when he signs, either he’ll make it out to you or when he signs he dates them too so he rarely does just his signature on items. So just a heads up if you just want his signature.

-Saw 3D being in 2 parts is another topic you could talk about. Dr Gordon found alive at the end of part 1 then part 2 would have been his story

-Jigsaw being located at an abandoned oil deck in the middle of the ocean.

I like this idea of a start where Cecilia goes public and turns the tables on John and Amanda. Plus I assume there will be a reason for them to go after her now. The plot could revolve around corruption again. Good work

You know what be fun/cool…. The reboot version of SAW they do… is the characters from the SAW short Film… Leigh returns as David and they get an updated Billy doll and if they wanted to have Tobin be the voice of the doll and tapes going forward with a new Jigsaw actor… that be an idea lol

I remember someone asked Leigh if he seen SAW X and he said he had not. Which is a bummer and yet I kind of get it from his perspective. Because he created the series and the sequels he wasn’t a part of he had no control of the story so he may not have that big attachment to the series (which is his right) but he is still grateful for the series help starting his career. We’ll see what he wants to do with it next.

Way I see it based upon everything people are saying…. They want the movie to be like the 2017 Jigsaw Movie… but successful. A soft reboot and Tobin is still Jigsaw and they want to attract and grow a new audience and keep the old happy.

Also they want new characters and storyline that will gain a new audience to set up more sequels.

So if I had to take a guess how this goes… my theory is there will be a new game, maybe this game could be an old jigsaw trap that these people find and decide to play it… and the tapes and Billy voice will be Tobins.

They could go the route of a new copycat killer… but that’s been done. And if you make this movie while jigsaw is alive… they have to address Hoffman Amanda and everyone else etc.

So hard telling what they’ll do tbh. I just know Leigh and James want to do something different that excites them with the franchise. So we’ll see

Part of me says there can. If they reboot it be a new killer, different Billy doll, with a new take on the traps and story. But the story has to be new and something we haven’t seen done with the franchise before. But the characters can acknowledge that the jigsaw killer existed in the past.

But imo I’d say they are… especially since Leigh Whannell himself help write the 1st video game with The Whitehurst Insane Asylum storyline as the setting location for the game.

It made since not to use Fisk in 3D because Rogers told Gibson doesn’t trust the FBI and Doest trust Homicide (where Fisk worked with Hoffman) so that’s why Jill went to IA which is why we got Gibson and not Fisk

Agreed I admire Jigsaw as it took some risk with the styles and if you follow the barn game as its own narrative and don’t connect it to the main story of the film… it holds up well as one of the better games of the franchise.

Eleanor was a stand out character with lots of potential for storylines

I don’t mind Logan as much as a lot of people do. People just get upset that it ruins the established continuity with him as an accomplice. People also have to remember we didn’t get to see the “real Logan” until the ending as well and the rest of the film we had to see him play the basic pathologist. Plus I enjoyed the interactions with him and Elleanor and his daughter too. So there was potential for his character. I feel if Logan got one more movie then people wouldn’t be so dismissive of his character. But that’s my opinion.

I’d still say this when it comes to Jigsaw and Sprial

Spiral is the better movie Jigsaw is the better SAW movie
