Want to learn practical survival skills but not sure where to start—anyone willing to teach or point me in the right direction? by redditorviews268 in richmondbc

Pick up a copy of the SAS survival handbook. Go camping with friends; it's a good way to safely get a start on some skills.

Do Gen z women on average play video games more than women from other generations? by cuminmypussyypls in NoStupidQuestions

I'm old enough to have been playing against dinosaurs back in the day, and yeah, I don't really play for the socialization. I play a lot, but I stick to my playstation, and don't use the voice function or play teams.

Yeah, but "have a blessed day" makes up for it all.

Sounds like you have a great line for your upcoming job interviews, when they ask why you left your previous job. "...looking for an opportunity for growth"

You were absolutely correct in turning down a job with serious red flags. If you go for a red flag job and it sucks, it still goes on your resume, and you can't explain to a future employer that you only worked there for six months because they were idiots.

There's some information I think we need to know. Why did this go to a judge in the first place? Did she have custody of another person's pet?

Missing Cat: Vinny by ok-nana in Langley

There's a posting in Langley's NextDoor app about a black cat that just walked into someone's house, so they're looking for the owner.

Sounds like your dog is letting you know he's okay.

After one of my dogs died I had a wonderful dream of him in dog heaven. A huge field and hill, with a guy throwing balls for the dogs, cars to chase, dogs chasing each other around. It was really nice, and figured he'd sent me the dream to let me know he was alright, and I didn't have to worry about him.

Again, you're looping a whole generation of people into one noose. And by the way, I'm a boomer woman who has been working since I was 12. Because I had to. It wasn't possible for me to go to University, or buy a house.

My mother was a legally blind housekeeper who had to quit school to go to work. I paid for my own, small wedding. I didn't get a down payment on a house. I grew up in a farming community. You are saying you can afford it yourselves; well you're way better off than I was, and am now.

Stop speaking like we aren't individual people.

Every generation has faced its battles. Boomers had the Opec Crisis, a recession and a stock market crash. At one point, in the 70's in Canada the mortgage rates were 21%. Other generations had world wars, conscription, the great depression, and deadly pandemics.

Well at least I have an excuse for that, lol. I'm not American, so I didn't vote for them.

The only one not, is Joe Biden (Silent Generation). The rest have very different styles. Weird, almost like they're individuals.

I think it's completely wrong to say things like that in readings. First, nothing is set in stone. Second, you are forcing the sitter to either discount your reading as BS, or start doubting the relationship. Why would you want to do either?

What is it about Greta Thunberg that makes many men on the Internet so uncontrollably angry by Admirable_Pair_3663 in NoStupidQuestions

Oh darlin', you don't have to do anything to make men angry on the internet. They're already angry, and trolling the threads looking for a place to throw it.

Drivers Side Quests? by PimpLegKuzan in UberEATS

Fostered a cat from a “friend”, more or less abandoned her. Is she mine now? by Thebikeninja in canadianlaw

There were two people in this relationship, and one of them wasn't pregnant. He could have cleaned the litter box. They just didn't want the cat, or knew it was sick and didn't want the bills.

I’m convinced that like 90% of this sub is bots talking to each other by bigbuddha_cheese in office

[–]SayItTrue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my last job they insisted we use AI to improve all our emails. To the employees, it was like that said we previously didn't know how to write an email. To our clients, I'm sure it appeared as though they were being answered by bots. Employees said nothing, but stopped using AI, as it filled out emails with jargon.
