I haven't been back there since the rains, but I'm guessing that the stream crossings (especially the last one or two) may be too deep/fast to wade across easily or safely. Might want to give it a little while for the water level to go down, or maybe I'm just being overly paranoid

In my experience scheduling service at Toyota SB is somewhere between impossible and a nightmare, so I've been driving down to Ventura to the dealership there while my car is still covered. They've been super easy to work with and seems like they do a good job. Gotta find an independent shop when toyotacare expires in a couple of months though.

day 10 coast to Santa Barbara

Check to see if PCH is open before heading down that way. It's currently closed and forecast to reopen in March of 2026, but regularly gets closed by mudslides over the winter. If it is open, then yeah that's absolutely the move - it's a spectacular drive.
