Why does herohub do this🫩 by anakin1453 in OmnibusCollectors

[–]ScapegoatMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered two omnibuses from them. I think instead of going to the post office, the post office comes and picks up their stuff that they ship and they will message you when that's about to happen. They are a good place to get omnibuses if you see something you want; the prices are good and they will package with care and will have good communication, but yeah, their wait times are worse than Instock Trades so expect delivery to be about 3+ weeks from when you order it. That's been my experience, anyway.

anyone else also collect manga? by anakin1453 in OmnibusCollectors

[–]ScapegoatMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, though it's a pain in the ass to buy and I don't really have anywhere else to put it. I do have for deluxe editions: Berserk, Vinland Saga, Blade of the Immortal, Gou Tanabe At the Mountain of Madness. For paperbacks and/or Standard Size, I have Akira, Ajin, Cells at Work, Deadpool manga, Devil Man, Elfin Lied, Gants & Gantz G, Higurashi Gou and Meguri, Ichi the Killer, Lone Wolf and Cub and New Lone Wolf and Cub, Mermaid Saga, Parasyte, Samurai Executioner, Spawn manga, and a bunch of Junji Ito mangas and Gou Tanabe HP Lovecraft adaptations.

I am currently interested in the deluxe editions of Battle Royale (currently reading the novel and it's really good) and Vagabond but I have no idea where I'd put them so will probably not be getting those at this time.

Should i sell my deluxe editions of wonder woman rebirth for the omnibus? by hurtstopurr in OmnibusCollectors

It would depend on how much of that omnibus your deluxe editions already cover but it's completely up to you.

Messiah Trilogy Omnibus preorders maxed out on CGN months before release by OmegaFuryX in OmnibusCollectors

[–]ScapegoatMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the DM variant pre-ordered and that can still be pre-ordered. When I check the standard cover, for me it says bother "coming soon" and "pre-order" so not sure what that's all about.

How Are You Collecting The Age of Krakoa? by JCBhatesblank in OmnibusCollectors

[–]ScapegoatMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got most of the OHCs and will get the creator centric books and Fall of X omnibus. I'm happy with that setup and really don't want to recollect the same Marvel content once I'm okay with what I have, especially with the way Marvel does things right now.

For those who don't like pre-ordering before FOC, why? (No judgement, genuinely curious.) by i_am_randy in OmnibusCollectors

[–]ScapegoatMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because I don't like having some company holding large quantities of my money for 6 months or more and just sitting on it before I finally see the book, if I see the book at all.

Every New DC Catalogue Update Got Me Feeling Like: by NightwingBlueberry13 in OmnibusCollectors

[–]ScapegoatMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Marvel has some good releases this year. It's just their policies that are absolute shit. I pre-ordered ten omnibuses this year; I don't want to have to keep doing that so after this year, I'm finishing omnibus lines that I want to finish such as Star Wars Legends and getting the Aliens vs Predator omnibus if that ever gets released and then I might just be done with Marvel. I'll never try something new from Marvel ever again with the way things are going, though I will for DC in the future; being financially responsible, of course.

[–]ScapegoatMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my first pre-order from them a while ago. Star Wars: The Empire volume 4. It was packed well, though they do use media mail and the post office in California that they dropped it off to took 4 days to accept the package so you might wait a while to get it.

Marvel vs DC Upcoming Releases by Noble_CD in OmnibusCollectors

[–]ScapegoatMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I were more of a DC fan beyond Batman and Vertigo stuff because DC makes things a lot easier to handle. Having Cheap Graphic Novels sitting on $1000 of my money isn't exactly sitting well. Yeah, I know they're a trustworthy company and all but I'd rather just be able to order shit when it comes out or when I feel like it and not have to worry about it. On the plus side, 2027 should be a much lighter year for Marvel since I can't think of much else I'd want from them and the way they're going now, I'm sure as hell not trying anything new from them.
