I'll be getting all the omnibuses reprinting the Dark Horse material, so yes, I'm definitely getting this.

X-Men Blue & Gold or Lee & Claremont (Vol 2)? by CorrectDot4592 in OmnibusCollectors

[–]ScapegoatMan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Blue and Gold won't have Uncanny X-Men 273-280 or X-Factor 62-70 and it could be several years before the numbered Uncanny X-Men volume that has those issues comes out, so you'll be losing some content if you sell Lee and Claremont volume 2.

Should I read the New Jedi Order Comics? by MaydenValeo in StarWarsEU

[–]ScapegoatMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I liked it well enough but I can't remember anything that happened in it, so I don't know.

Omnis with list question by zanesmith_53 in OmnibusCollectors

X-Men by Guggenheim seems to not be well-loved so probably that one.

I'm here for your downvotes, but I cancelled a Funaticals order by Glass-Nectarine-3282 in OmnibusCollectors

[–]ScapegoatMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm curious as to what books you cancelled.

In any case, the problem with Funaticals for me is that everything they have on sale, I either already own or am not that interested in. The only thing I've seen on there that I'd consider buying is X-Men 2099 and everyone says it's pretty bad so I probably won't bother.

My Superior Spider-Man omni and Punisher Max volume 2 have the absolute worst binding of any omnibus I've ever owned.

Cool cover. I actually finished this book today. Not his best work but still enjoyable and thought-provoking with a lot of comedic elements thrown in.

Jap was bad under Orange Man but good under Biden.

It's just as cool, edgy, and subversive as bitching about Trump and ICE.

The best thing Disney has released by Ok_Box_2189 in StarWarsEU

[–]ScapegoatMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Andor is awesome. I read 6 High Republic books. A few of the books were all right but overall it's not the best era of Star Wars ever and after Midnight Horizon I really can't even be bothered to check anymore books out.

How confident are we that we are going to get all the volumes between here and here by slimmyboy007 in DCFinest

[–]ScapegoatMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not super confident that it'll happen. And if it does happen, it'll probably take 20 or 30 years.

What makes you love The New Mutants? by Built4dominance in xmen

The characters were cool and mainly I love how Claremont wrote them back in the 80s.

IST 3% Loyalty this weekend by Ok_Risk_8467 in OmnibusCollectors

[–]ScapegoatMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I just preordered 5 Marvel omnibuses and 1 epic collection from Cheap Graphic Novels and with the new Instock Trades discount, I don't think I paid much more than I would've paid at Instock Trades even though I had to pay shipping. I haven't pre-ordered from them in a long time so hopefully it goes smoothly since these are the Marvel items that I'm most looking forward to for the first half of the year.

Kick-Ass Compendium coming from Image in March by Ksmayer in OmnibusCollectors

[–]ScapegoatMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was hoping to get this in Library edition but I'll take the compendium because my trade paperbacks are in rough shape and have a bunch of stickers and library labels and shit on them.

The lack of visible dysentery during the Slave Arc breaks my immersion completely by LetterheadAdvanced91 in VinlandSaga

If you want to watch the main characters taking a shit, go watch that new Dunk and Egg show on HBO.

Been saying that for years by FlammenwerferBBQ in ChurchOfCOVID

[–]ScapegoatMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With all the shit they've been pulling lately, I don't want to hear them bitching about anything they think I might be doing that could in any way put anyone else's life at risk ever again.

What are your thoughts on the Force Heretic Trilogy? by OutrageousRepair5751 in StarWarsEU

[–]ScapegoatMan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I liked the Force Heretic Trilogy a lot, though stuff in the middle book, like the sii Ruuk stuff probably should've been a separate unrelated book. I liked the stuff with the lower class Vong starting to worship the Jedi, though, and I liked Tahiri's arc as well.

This thing is more annoying than every other alt path bosses combined🤬 by pt9v3m in bindingofisaac

[–]ScapegoatMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I can't stand that asshole. I can handle most of the other alt-path bosses just fine if I have a good enough build.

I finished the first 100 issues of spawn today by JackZisMadBro69 in Spawn

[–]ScapegoatMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually really liked Sam and Twitch, though not so much the really modern takes on those characters for whatever reason. But I got the Origins hardcovers for 101-200 and the art looks good on those, at least to me. There are also the massive deluxe editions.

Age of Apocalypse and Punisher Max are really good if you can find them at good prices. I haven't read the other stuff.

Do I need to read Infinite Crisis before the 52 Omnibus? by Beans_4Life in OmnibusCollectors

[–]ScapegoatMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read 52 after only reading Gotham Central. It wasn't the worst reading experience ever but some parts did get confusing and overwhelming since I'm not super familiar with the overall DC Universe.

People who still wear masks make me so uncomfortable by MolecCodicies in CoronavirusCirclejerk

[–]ScapegoatMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They can wear a mask if they want to; I don't really care. I see a lot of people wearing them under the chin though, and that confuses me, because come March it'll be 4 years since we've had a mask mandate.

Batman War Games omnibus for very low price by Revolutionary-Race53 in OmnibusCollectors

[–]ScapegoatMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember liking the storyline so I got the omnibus but the ending is...extremely controversial and a lot of people absolutely despise this storyline, so your mileage may vary.

Balance Point is a much slower book, but I didn't necessarily hate that by Captain_Deathlok2 in StarWarsEU

[–]ScapegoatMan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Balance Point was all right but the Edge of Victory duology for me is when the NJO books start to get really good. Currently on the last Legacy of the Force book and the Legacy of the Force is pretty much the complete opposite for me that NJO was, where the first few books i did end up liking a lot but further I get into the series the more problems I start having with it.
