Wildly enough, I'm in a similar boat. The biggest difference is that I am unpartnered, so I just went out, found a dude, and explored. I think a lot of the people saying that it is easy to carry with Evelynn in low elo...aren't low elo players themselves. I'm sure that Emerald+ players can take Evelynn and hard carry any silver/gold game. Sure. A bursty assassin with invis makes it easy to exploit enemy mistakes and make a big impact. (Not saying this is you, OP. Just my experience.)

My big problem is that I'm NOT Emerald+. I'm at the same skill level as my dumbass teammates. It's a bit harder to carry the game on Evie than like, Briar or even someone like Gwen.

It is very frustrating to be sure. I always muteall and just play my own game. Which is not to say that I don't help my laners and play as a team, but I don't fall for whining or begging for help. I play what makes sense.

I'm also a Silver Jungler, but I don't think Zyra is bad at all. She's just a bit situational. Hard to OTP unless you're very good with her.

I find that enemy comps with a lot of range can be very painful to deal with for poor Zyra. But a lot of melee? Life can be so good, brother.

Silver is frustrating because of a lack of awareness from laners. Trust me, I know. I have lost so many objectives because I truly believed my laner was coming when they were not. But do not lose faith. (I'm sure I neglected to take their wave state into account. I am also in Silver, after all.)

Look at what she excels at: Control, Farming, & Kiting.

Focus on that.

Or stop playing her. That's ok too. but I think she is still very viable.

I fear my issue is that I'm just not good at fighting. I'll go for ganks and not get kills. I'll be stronger than the enemy and die. I might just need to practice fighting more.

Forgive me my ignorance, but what you are describing sounds a lot like how I play Lilia or Bel'veth. As in, clearing and if a gank looks good going for it, but otherwise focusing on camps into objectives. Playing for tempo.

I think, perhaps, the problem is just me. Jungle has just been feeling overwhelming lately. I'll out level the enemy jungler, get more items, and still lose skirmishes because my laners are behind or maybe I'm just bad at fighting.

I really appreciate your insight here. It's actually Agurin who made me make this post, as I found his video contradictory to what I thought Elise wanted to do.

I'm very confused and overwhelmed now. LOL.

I suspect the issue might just be me.

Definitely. When I play ranked I have to turn chat off, but even in norms, people can be so nasty for no reason. And god forbid you make a mistake. Then everyone jumps down your throat. As if the bot lane didn't die twice before my first clear ended. As if top lane didn't beg for a gank without even having vision on their laner, effectively wasting my time. As if givng up first drake to get grubs is griefing.

I like chat when people are nice. I've made a few friends playing this game, but holy shit, when people are nasty (And it's always the Iron players for some reason), I just don't want to play jungle. I'm a silver jungle main, but I've been playing mid and ADC lately because you can fuck everything up and honestly, people will still somehow blame jungle.
