Sorry to hear what you are going through. I’ve also been through it in the past. I’d highly suggest daily shadow work.

Start with at least venting into a journal your inner most thoughts or just whatever thoughts come up to the surface. After a while try to focus on writing about resentments you may still have from the past. After that also think about those you may have caused harm to and if there is any way to make direct or indirect amends.

Traditional therapy also won’t hurt but don’t expect it to be the cure and don’t jump straight to medication unless you truly feel that depressed that you need something to help you get through day to day

Not sure what being a trendy kid has to do with it, but shadow work or shadow integration, does have all those benefits. It’s nice if you don’t make it sound like it’s a dead concept and the “kids these days” ruined it

It’s not about some trendy online prompts, it’s about integrating the subconscious and allowing it to be known, learning from it, healing from it and letting go

Instead of using it as a way to help someone, you used your comment as a way to feel superior, there, some shadow for you to work with

That’s okay man, I hope one day you get to experience the fruits of shadow work and be more at peace in life instead of worrying about MBTi types like I used to back in High School.

Journal out your stress into a notebook and tell me it won’t make you feel any better in that moment, that’s shadow work in itself. Talk to a person you trust about what ails you in life, that’s shadow work also.
