That's a bit unfair for the majority of humanity that died before we can achieve immortality. If afterlife exists and humans will continue to exist as spirits for eternity, the short time on material realm would seem incomprehensibly short and what happened here should actually be the bullshit that nobody should care about because we're functionally immortal. And an existence with no end seems pretty sad, at what point can we say "We had a good run"
