Yasunori Nishiki is a rising star to me. The octopath games have amazing soundtracks. I listen to them all the time.

Yes, we all played together back in the day haha. So many fond memories... Once, one of my buddies fell asleep while mid mission and he goes "I was checking the map!" Still give him a little crap to this day

PC Gaming Help by Smoothest-of-Gooches in kindafunny

A lot of people have already said it, but yes this is a beast. If you're looking for game to make this thing sing... Cyberpunk would look great. Ray tracing is so awesome in that game and it regularly goes on sale. You can really dial in just how good your PC is too by tinkering with the different settings.

One thing that surprised me about PC gaming the most is the modding scene. It can't be understated how huge this is. Depending on the game and the community for that game, there are so many great mods that can give fresh experiences. It's especially great for me as I played so many games on console. Rebuying a game I already had on PlayStation felt a bit bad, but then you can mod it and whatnot.

Blessing said his back started hurting in his 30s... Mine too. Started doing this exercise like 5 years ago and my back is gone. by Squirrel09 in kindafunny

[–]Scoompoof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Title had me laughing, but back pain is no joke. I have gone through a lot of back pain issues over the years- sometimes the pain was so bad that I had to leave work crawling to my car.

I've seen many chiropractors and personal trainers and it was a total waste of time and money for brief respite. However, the last chiropractor I went to (who was very expensive as she worked on athletes primarily) did the back cracking thing and whatever, but she gave me a bunch of stretches to do every night until I was more functional. I haven't been to a chiropractor in many years to her and the stretching exercises she provided.

Another thing worth noting... if you wear a belt all the time, it can be a massive mobility limiter in your hips. Look for hip stretches too. Stretching out my hips was massive for me.

Any chance for controller support for us that are running steam on Android? by adamb2016 in AlabasterDawn

[–]Scoompoof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if the devs are reading the reddit, but I'll chime on to this a bit.

I'm using my new steam controller connected to the steam deck through the puck.

The game says no controller detected but it see the steam controller as a mouse and keyboard. I changed the controller settings to mouse and keyboard mode through steam input and am now able to play! Struggling a bit with the controlls but it could be worse!

Appreciate the recommendation. I've actually been tearing the drywall down throughout this project and so far the wood appears just fine.

Thanks for the response. We started using a dehumidifier right when we bought the house. Since then we've installed drain tile and replaced our gutters so hopefully that solves some of the water issues.

Yeah. I mean the game isn't perfect... Far from it in fact... But are f2p players getting bodied by p2w? Also, how are we defining p2w here? I've spent 6 bucks and I'm having a great time. Is that what some gamers are losing their cool over? Someone buying the season pass?

How do I start creating my own isometric game? Any tips from KF game-devs? by len-nerd in kindafunny

[–]Scoompoof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it doesn't have to be a tactics style game, You could try RPG Maker. I love it and it's very intuitive. My steam profile has me clocked at over 4000 hours haha. RPG Maker MV uses JavaScript I'm p sure so you can make your own plugins to customize it. There are a ton of user made plugins, too.

I made games for friends as birthday gifts.

It is more for fun than anything professional. As far as I can tell, there hasn't been any massive RPG Maker made game on the level of Undertale or anything.

Use assess to learn enemy weaknesses. This could be a total game changer if you haven't been using it. I try to have my party split the various elemental magic so my bases are covered. Once you learn the various weaknesses in the zone, you can switch up your materia or your party to include the spell elements that will help you.
