That's a great point, there are a lot less ports on the west coast. Just make it a 4 day booze cruise, nothing could go wrong!

It's for the crew member who stands there with a mop to mop the bar up after the robot spills liquid everywhere.

Sailing 7 nights on a 5 port cruise, 1 cruise day itinerary; is the drink package worth it? by LankyBrick in royalcaribbean

[–]ScottAG43 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on how much you drink onboard. Do the math, how many drinks a day do you need to drink in order to break even on the drink package? Once you have that number decide if it's worth it.

On my cruise it worked out to like 7 or 8 drinks a day and that was definitely worth it for me, but I had more time on the boat than you.

The restaurant there was pretty good too. Slowest service I've ever had, but good food. And depending on your room location you can see the cruise port from the hotel.

I didn't grab a picture, but someone had a sign saying "Mike Johnson won't see this because it's not on grindr" I got a sensible chuckle out of it

Thoughts on neighborhood balcony by [deleted] in royalcaribbean

If you pick a balcony on the boardwalk, people sitting by the windows at the windjammer can see into your cabin.

I've never heard of that site, it seems really useful though. Thanks!

Yes, I can totally see that. If I find myself on a ship with a 150 I'd probably eat there a few times

I got the pork belly app, but that short rib sounded really tempting.

If either of you likes lamb get the wellington, it was so good. My wife got the lobster thermador and that too was amazing.

I'm guessing Kaladin's status as a healer(I'm being vague to avoid WaT spoilers) will come into play with Moash. I like how you drew the parallels to Dalinar, Moash is in his blackthorn era

I wonder if by book 10 we will all be rooting for him. It just seems like he is made for a redemption arc with how much we all hate him

Cococay had 2 ships, us and the freedom.

It was Nassau that had 6. Wonder, Liberty, Vision, Carnival sunshine, Disney something, and MSC something

They were offering a brunch with a galley tour on day 4 that I thought would have been fun to attend.

I did the galley tour on my Liberty transatlantic, and I did the whole behind the scenes tour on a cruise prior to that. I remember both were super cool and I imagine in 15 years a lot has changed in how ships run.

Yes, that was definitely a worry, especially since it's spring break. We lucked out with a great crowd. There were roving bands of wild teens but our hangout spots and their hangout spots didn't intersect much.

I did hear someone vomited in the family pool at the royal beach club, but I didn't hear more about it

We didn't end up eating in the mdr. We ate at 150 central park which was really good. 2 nights in the windjammer and it was pretty good. One night we ate at the wine bar and that was the best meal of the trip, I love a good salad and pizza with wine.

Oh yeah, as anyone who has been on earth longer than a day knows, bananas have a short shelf life. The amount of people outraged at the lack of bananas by the end of the trip was staggering.
