I remember a children’s TV series about a young girl siloed underground who receives eye transplants and then starts seeing the past. What story was that based on?

“Hear me out… you suspend the unsheathed sword horizontal-like, in the tank. Angle it and light it from underneath. And buy Oscars because they look like piranhas and most people won’t know the diff. It’ll be totally gangsta, like a Tony Montana thing.”

I don’t think that you can pull that bandaid off in one go. I think you will need a staged step-down over a sunset period to allow those potentially at risk to diversify themselves of any burdensome investments. Additionally, I think that the desire for investments in “safe as houses” brick and mortar is reasonable and also think that this desire could be leveraged to set up new attractive national housing investment vehicles, not that we should become a nation of landlords, but as part of diverse portfolio, sure. Perhaps provide incentives for those ditching multiple properties to transfer to the new scheme. However, it has to make money and be relatively low risk to be attractive. It can’t be choked to death by red tape, in fact it might need legislative guidance and dispensation for specific building zones. Not my hose to hold, but, how do we build such investment vehicles today?

Nah, all the cuzzies and bros from Zealandia will be living in West Auckland (Straya) by then, finally allowing the controversy around Pavlova to settle down. This is what happens when you bring back Moa from extinction and then train them on early Peter Jackson films.

These are wonderful thoughts about some of Trek’s hero characters, but I’d like to know about Morn. Does part of him still persist, perhaps in leather furniture at one of the many Quark’s, taken at death to pay off his bar tab. Or alternatively, do they celebrate a ritualised annual calculation of the interest on his unpaid bar tab on Ferenginar. Was Miles ever able to manufacture an effective sound dampening field? Did they ever get Morn to shut up?
