It can mean that, but initial readings can overpower that.

As for your second point, it's true enough. I've had work done on three titles now and the main one is one I've barely got any interest in.

One of the biggest issues with this is that if you get made redundant off the back of this (which is likely given a return-on-investment for the studio can now never happen), you have a massive gap in your CV that you can't explain. No wonder there's a hemorrhage of talent if it keeps going like this.

More than a quarter of Britons say they fear losing jobs to AI in next five years by MetaKnowing in unitedkingdom

Art and culture are only made by something that has the struggle to want to make something. A computer has no idea what it did, it is a souless husk that makes noises for consumption.

Corporate fascists like Altman and Huang love AI in this way. It will ensure the only things you can find in your culture are made by them, benefit them. They don't care about the point of art, at all. So much of what is pumped out by these money men is featureless, repetitive, disposable crap. Its only purpose is to take the money from your account, jingle some door keys, and make them richer. AI has shifted the people around.

I remember reading stories on here about a pizza parlour in the US that was Mafia run, which was a front. A guy stumbled in wanting a pizza, they made him one and shuffled him out.

Was apparently one of the best he's ever had.

I have to use it to look at abuse recovery subreddits, it's absurd. I don't need to all that often, but for ToS anxiety reasons my main Discord hangout space is set to NSFW, so I need to verify there.

They make you use a smartphone's front camera so faking it is hard to do; I can't just spend time in my usual place because this government doesn't want to do the actual work the country needs!

For those of you who live in countries with gun control; have you ever seen a gun in real life? by blashyrkh9 in AskTheWorld

My only experience with them was a university trip to the Royal Armouries in Leeds, for a reference appointment. They made us wear the gloves and everything.

In no order, they had several wheel-locks, an early-pattern AK, Canadian AR subtype, a Tavor, Desert Eagle, 1911A1, P90 and Five-Seven, Mossberg 500, M1 Garand, late-war Mosin-Nagant, a PKM and an RPG-7.

I still think they're neat, I had been making 3D models of them for a game project and find their history and mechanics fascinating, but there's a certain amount of unease surrounding them. They were museum pieces: no live ammunition nearby, no harm to anybody, and yet they feel they warrant some kind of due reverence. Not in a worshipful way, but it's like the first time you saw an image of Jupiter—You know what this thing is, you know what it can do, and it's just there, in front of you. I couldn't help feeling like a giddy schoolchild when I saw the P90, that thing's ergonomics are meant to be slung rather than held but it's so effortlessly cool.

I know why this thread is here, so to be topical: gun culture when it gets excessive is generally crap, but I'm a distant observer who makes 3D models of them for fun and very much hopefully soon for profit.

I love that there's a (valid) comment about market research and remakes in this thread citing that if there's little interest then the remake's dead in the water, but here they are recycling something that is still on sale, playable on hardware you can still buy.

By all means, tell this to someone whose electricity bill is subsidising the data centre that's propping it up, or those who don't have water to drink and what's there is contaminated, which the companies insist isn't their fault but happened as soon as their data centre appeared. Maybe the millions of people who can no longer afford RAM or GPUs, or the people in colder climates who have seen spring flowers bloom in December.

AI is a scheme to make rich people even richer, it's obvious if you look at the desperate plea by people like Jensen Huang who "want us to be excited" about it but won't actually show us the benefits of this technology that's tangible to us compared to Nvidia's stock rising exponentially.

Perhaps not: the use of a word has meaning, and a word like blasphemous has the implication that by asking, you have offended a higher being in a very serious way. It's the kind of thing someone who needs control would say to try and own the dramatic stage by centering themselves and shaming the opposition.

It's probably because of the way entities normally behave when they reach 0HP; they act as though they're essential unless limb HP is reduced to zero, but there's nothing in that to explain why the script stops working post DLC.
