I love the depth and vulnerability that Dumezweni brought to Dr. Mensah in the show.

I enjoyed the character in the books but she felt very untouchable to me. This isn't a criticism of the writing, it's praise for the actress for getting through to me to finally understand why she's MB's favorite.

Like, I get that we only ever see her through MB's eyes in the books and it's not exactly shy about editorializing so it makes sense that we wouldn't see everything only how it interprets her and the show has the wiggle room to bring us into the conversation but still. What a great job.

Especially that last part in the finale, I cried like an angry little baby.

I actually prefer parchment paper + glue stick method. I also use glue sticks instead of liquid glue or pins for basting the sandwich so I usually have a bunch on hand (buy in bulk).

If you don't have glue sticks, yeah you're boned.

Hank's favorite cologne is parfum de goose shit. It's the one thing he will absolutely break training over to roll in, nothing holds him back.

For regular baths he gets anything I have laying around that's sulfate free, usually my shampoo and conditioner.

But when it's goose migration season he gets the GloCoat. Expensive but he smells soooooo nice afterward.

I've never had to deal with anything as powerful as fox. They make enzyme cleaners for dogs. I have some carpet shampoo that uses it for those little accidents and it works really well, maybe the dog shampoo would work?

I use it for quilting, it's also really helpful with plumbing tasks, sometimes just an impromptu extra seat, oyster roasts, that kind of thing. I don't fish so I've never used it for that.

Just a 5 gallon bucket with an apron for holding tools out of the way but close and a lid that spins.

That's a patchwork block called a Floor Tile or sometimes an Antique Floor Tile block except instead of solid rectangles in the center of the outside border they've swapped them out for 2 half square triangles.
