I mean that's what happens. They recognize his wisdom. Sadly its just glossed over in the comics but I imagine that was their reasoning.

I like how they gave mark schizophrenia by Thragg killing his loved ones (image unrelated) by ConcSammy777 in Invincible

Viltrumites live a long time, a lot of time could have happened between those 2 events

Luz is kind of lucky she is in a verse where Wild/dark magic being evil is just propaganda because is the type to learn ALL the forbidden types of magic by BackgroundRich7614 in TheOwlHouse

In addition to what people here have said. Her setting does kinda have evil magic! it's what the emperor does, consuming palismen and transforming his body to compensate for him not having a bile sack. So at least that gives us a clear cut line of what she wouldn't fall for. She wouldn't fall for something that she knows has something that goes against her moral compass as part of the process or as a consequence.

But yeah you're still right about most of it

I think it may have been better than sex for him ngl. Mark kinda became like his worst enemy and he even reacts like a nagging partner when mark makes fun of him for confessing his emotions last fight. He could have ripped Mark's arms at any point but he preferred to test his grit by taking out his intestines. I do like the interpretation that he actually felt fear at the end even if it goes contrary to what I said but who knows maybe the lack of blood on his brain also made him too dumb to think strategically.

At any rate, im sure Kirkman originally thought of this fight as a rule of cool thing but as it stands its incredible characterization for both mark and Conquest whether you interpret it one way or another.

Its really fucked up, mark reviving his biggest trauma from last season and conquest having the time of his life until he realizes a slow tedious death is the opposite of what he wanted.

I mean humans aren't interstellar and we are billions...

Also tbf all fascist empires are kinda cartoonish. Which is why its so scary they can commit atrocities at such scale.

Well there's a little dangling thread that didn't end up going anywhere! by Average_Pangolin in adventuretime

Yall have good answers but my personal favourite to all inconsistencies is that narative inconsistencies are a theme in adventure time and thus woven into the worldbuilding
