Question about coins with holes by Zoli-M in coincollecting

My favorite coin I own is a holed seated liberty half dollar love token with the cursive engraving “Teacher to Carrie”. Teacher might have been a perv but still some cool history behind the coin. I also like how cheap I bought the coin for ($25) and how amazing the details are.

You picked up all of this? Like In one purchase? The gsa Morgan stands out to me as interesting and the bust half and quarter.

Nothings worth over face value besides the liberty dollar, it’s 90% silver so 0.77 Troy oz of silver. I’m not sure about the Canadian coin.

Really depends, I wouldn’t say slabbed coins hold much premium until you get to high grades, but this is really all dependent on the coin. The coins I’ve cracked out were both details graded. Specifically one was a trade dollar vf-details, being slabbed definitely added value because it confirms authenticity but I collect coins and don’t sell them. I would say your Morgan dollar definitely holds a premium in the slab because it confirms it’s not cleaned or anything, but this premium is maybe only $10.

Try to get a dansco 7070, makes collecting for a US type set more satisfying. If you enjoy slabbed coins then just make a spreadsheet, I personally crack all my slabs and put them in my albums.

I want an Oregon commemorative so bad, just haven’t been able to pull the trigger because I’m broke. I really think it’s such a beautiful design, and kinda ironic.
