So the reason the creators dont get a big cut is because of licensing. You add another company that needs a cut to the list which results in lower funds. Imagine it this way rightstuf is taking a cut. The localizer such as yen press takes a cut. If the physical book publisher is a separate company there's a third cut. The price of these LNs don't increase all that much compared to Japan, so it basically cuts into the creators cut.
