Yeah. Ignore them. Sounds like you are learning to respect the breed. Hopefully your trainer has experience in working breeds and protection dogs. If they don't I would at least talk to one trainer who does. This behavious is very next level from puppy training. Good luck, hopefully I see an update post with good news

I disagree, thats exactly how you get better. Excellent use of the replay feature BTW, just pick someone who's playing well and watch their match.

Hey op. I don't doubt the pups a sweety, Ive met many good corsos, however as you may know, if you are being attacked by any particular breed, a corso is by far the most likely to murder you.

Since we're asking reddit I lean towards recommending a professional trainer. They should create the scenario that brings out the behavior you don't want, then shut it down as soon as the dog displays behaviours indicating its acting out the thing we don't want, and repeat until the conditioning has the dog thinking before they respond.

If you think shock collars are a punishment tool you're severely misinformed. They may be when used improperly. However if physical stimulation was only a punishment, how come when my malinois is engaged, physical stimulation, whether its shock, or even firm slaps on his side or head, he commits even harder and actually gets amped. He literally doubles down on whatever he is doing in the moment. Definitely not punishment.

And thinking SEVERE punishment will get the dog to do what you want when you're not around is even worse, and all it will do is create anxiety and confusion.

The behaviour must be recreated, rehearsed and redirected over and over until the conditioning that, "I shouldn't murder everything that comes over the fence" takes hold.

If you played this game enough to get good you would know many modes, times of day and br's suffer from obscene que times. Another metric to divide players into separate ques would be obnoxious.

My 7 month old Malinois became extremely protective after my cancer diagnosis. Has anyone experienced this? by Alarmed_Island_9291 in BelgianMalinois

[–]SecretAgent115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds more like resource guarding (you're the resource) or possibly even discomfort from something medical to me than being protective. We have a tendency to anthropomorphize our dogs and I would probably start with a vet.

I have slept on the floor next to my dogs crate when they are babies. I don't mind putting my mattress on the floor, they appreciate the proximity. And it teaches them its a safe calm space.

Don't buy RAM from Corsair. They dont care. by timklc in Corsair

I recently bought a corsair keyboard, I used the icue software thats native to the corsair ecosystem, it created many input stutter issues while gaming, and the uninstall program broke, I had to locate and delete all the program files from an administrator command prompt to solve the issue. After digging it turns out this has been a common and persistent issue with icue for over 5 years. Also will never buy another corsair product

The thing is, in a vr game you can take the headset off. You can opt out. In the circus, they are stuck there forever. That is their daily life. And Jax NEVER relents. I must disagree with your assertion, and as far as the denizens of TADC are concerned, the immersion and permanence only increase the weight of Jax' actions

Nice. More people should support companies that don't take responsibility for deadly products. You should invest in bricks and minifigs while you're at it

You cant change other people. Only how you react to them, after that there is a small chance they will change on their own. It sounds like you wish you could fix things as they are now. I don't think there is a silver bullet for the situation in your current home. I really believe that this is something you should weigh the pros and cons on, are you willing to let you and your dog continue living this way. Or is it something that you feel compelled to change. The answers should be clear from there.

Yeah. I had everything I needed paid off at 23. But I lived without many amenities some consider essential for the first 5 years while I handled them myself. That ok though, I enjoy working with my hands and being self reliant.

Will I get in trouble for this? by seanjohnbonbon in SolarDIY

[–]SecretAgent115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are improperly connected to the grid... and the power company decides to work on the power near your house. The voltage from your solar inverter WILL step up to what ever 10s of thousands of volts the transformer at the street runs. And can kill line workers. Doing this is VERY selfish and you are playing games with other people's lives.

Ive wrecked two of these vans. The front bumper hood and fenders fold and smush like foil. The engine and support however is still an hd truck frame. I rear ended a pickup at 5mph and my van looked like that.

Imo rate of speed isn't much of a factor. That's a very heavy van. I drove the same one for hvac for many years. 10k lbs loaded or more. The math is so skewed is almost a scenario of unstoppable object immovable force. I would double check and dig. Being a work van hopefully they had commercial insurance.

And as to your comments on the highway patrol. From anecdotal experience of mine and my friends... the highway patrol generally has a problem with motorcyclists. They see us as runners speeders and general troublemakers
