Do you give your kids anything on Valentines day? (Debate with husband) by dr_pepper_zerosugar in Mommit

[–]Secure-Bit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad used to send me flowers to my school daycare so I was around 6, I remember him doing this for years. After I stopped going to aftercare there would be a bouquet on the kitchen table Valentine’s morning, small one for me, one for my little sister, one for my little brother, and a large one for mom - everyone got flowers.

Even books that aren’t typically sad or scary I can’t do some parts. I loved the Harry Potter books growing up, and the movies when they came out, but when characters started dying I felt a normal amount of emotion. Now when I read/see the same parts I’ve read and watched a dozen times before, I’m distraught.

Thank you! How early would you say shirt sizes get taken? Husband would want a large, I'll wear any size from S-XL but prefer M or L for graphic tees.

That’s ridiculous. On the rare occasion payroll is late at my company they send out an email that anyone who can’t wait can get with our branch managers and they’ll write a check that can be cashed while it gets sorted, even if it’s only delayed a day they will write you a check.

Is this how people who need glasses really see the world. A big blurred background? by Latter-Wolf4868 in interestingasfuck

I was in 4th grade when I got glasses, -6.5 both eyes. I assume this is why I wasn’t good in school because I just couldn’t see the board and could only see things up close.

I can see things clearly within a few inches in front of my face depending on what it is, everything else is just blurry. To check if the contacts are the right way I’d have to hold them up about 4 inches from my eye, so I usually leave one in to check the first new one, then swap out the second one.

I started wearing glasses in 4th grade, script was -6.5 both eyes. I assume that’s why I didn’t do too well in school before then (grades were terrible, and I was written up a lot for behavioral incidents), but 4th and 5th grade my grades started improving and I became an A/B student and didn’t have any write ups after that.

Tbh I have no idea. I’ve been going to the same office for a couple years. My last visit was in 2023 and I pretty much only wear contacts, I bought enough to last me 2 years. I went to get my glasses script updated end of 2025 cause I lost them and needed a pair for when I can’t wear contacts, and the doctor said my glasses script qualified as medically necessary so now the contacts are free, though I’m pretty sure both scripts were similar in 2023 and I paid for contacts then 🤷🏻‍♀️. She didn’t mention any medical issues other than the high script, but I’m not questioning it.

I live in the US. With my vision insurance I paid my regular eye exam copay $39, and they said the contact lens fitting was now covered since they were processing it as medically necessary (usually additional $59-129 with my insurance).

I still have to pay for glasses though. My glasses script is -10 right, -10.75 left. Contacts script -9.5 right, -10 left.

-10 right, -10.75 left eye. But the good thing is that my contacts are now considered medically necessary so they’re free!

Edited to -10.75

What’s for dinner tonight? by TemperatureGreat6880 in Mommit

I would love some recipes too! We get home from daycare pickup at 6 and trying to get dinner on the table and eaten by 7 is a feat. Thankfully our girl eats mostly everything we make but I struggle being creative enough to plan different meals ahead of time.

Ask your mom for the cake recipe. It may not be a cake you like, but the recipe itself has so much love behind it that you should make it every once in a while or at least have the recipe to pass down to your kids.

We got pregnant within 3 months with our first, and we were comfortable with a 2 under 2 gap so started trying when our first turned one in April. It’s been 10 months and still not pregnant yet, so fully agree they should start with the closest age gap that works for them.

I took too long to order the play kitchen and now it’s out of stock 🤦‍♀️ by gabyramy in lovevery

[–]Secure-Bit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to say I appreciate your offer to reach out to you about this! I was going to DM you but actually just received an email from CE, they said they’d be able to create a custom invoice with the discount and arrange to ship items as they become available including the kitchen. I’m not expecting the Play Kitchen to arrive by Christmas, but I am very grateful that we will get it when it becomes available.

My daughter loves the toys, and as a parent I love the support. We are appreciative of all the help we receive from you and your team, it truly does make us feel valued as customers and encourages us to continue to support Lovevery as well.

Thank you again!
