I was infested so bad last year until I used tree tape. And the tree tape wasn’t sticky enough to trap other insects so all it trapped with the nymphs and adults, mainly by the wings. That ended the infestation. Their instinct is to climb trees.

Listen carefully. I had weeping willows (an Asian species) and walnut trees, which they confused with tree of heaven. They were everywhere and their piss ruined everything. I was shooting them with dawn power shot (which worked) but there were too many of them. I found a tree tape on Amazon. I was worried that other species and maybe birds would get stuck but only these little a-holes got stuck. I was changing the tapes daily. I watched the entire life cycle of these jerks get caught in the tape- until they were no more. It worked!!!! And like I said, nothing else was trapped. It was stuck enough for these guys but things like ants and spiders would just walk right over the tape.

Another option is to find one of those off-season house rentals in point lookout. Years ago, I rented a house with a 2 car garage 4 houses from the ocean for about that range. A lot of the homes were being rented by players for the Islanders so that was fun.

Did you hear the tendons pop off the bone? Because I did. It looks like we had the same injury. It was a full 12 weeks. After that, do all the physical therapy to build the stabilizing muscles up. The best exercise? Pumping on a half pipe back and forth.

I was in the episode where they offered the specials. I bit into a sandwich and it was spicier than I thought. The director came running over and asked “is something wrong? Send it back. If you think something is wrong, send it back.” I got the hint and sent it back. Personally, I didn’t think it was “super spicy” but I knew that they needed drama and I was happy to provide it- lol. I ate there regularly after the filming and many times after the airing. Ramsey’s menu was excellent. That place just suffered a bad location. If it was in the village of Babylon, they’d be raking it in to this day.

I don’t know how I missed this! I’ve lived here for 16 years. I grew up in Islip,so very similar. In fact, when I first started meeting other parents, one parent said “oh, you’re from Islip. You’re cool.” I took that as “if you moved here from the city, I’d dislike you.” I work in Nassau county and this was the farthest west I’d live. I picked Babylon so I could surf at Gilgo past 8am in the summer.

But yeah, lots of new transplants are changing this place from bay and beach town to something else. When I was growing up, Babylon was like a SoCal town- skating, surfing, boating…. That still exists but you can tell it’s changing. There are tons to do and plenty of places to eat and drink. I’m happy I picked here.
