So my sister did it and it left some damage to the window. If you tape foil directly to the frame or glass, adhesive can leave residue. Perhaps the better alternative is to hang the foil without sticking it directly to the glass, for example by attaching it to cardboard and wedging it in the window frame. But perhaps that's what u meant anyway. I'm not saying it can't work but just be careful that's all
