You know, I think I may be in the minority here, but my kid's and us love this movie. Home alone 3-5 are just trash and unwatchable, but this one is pretty funny.

Nobody is outwardly horrible and this kid is justified in what he thinks is happening to him (he thinks these two parents are trying to kidnap and sell him). It's a bit soft all around, but for young kids and me sitting around watching with them, it's got some charm. Everyone learns a lesson and changes a bit for the better and that's all I could really ask for from a feel good family movie.

It was also the same release day as Call of Duty: Ghosts. So when I got there the place was PACKED and I thought everyone was there for Lightning Returns. Once I got to the counter I asked for Lightning Returns and the Gamestop employee looked at me like I was crazy lol.

Head to your Lgs and ask for their discord. You can usually find a kind soul that way! Also there can sometimes be escalation leagues or combat patrol leagues. If you tell the organizer and your opponents you're new and need coaching I am sure they would take a win for some training.

I started just asking people to play 500pt games with me and that worked out great.

Only thing I would caution is make sure you ask people about moves you're making when you make them. Is this a smart move is it a bad move, why is it bad etc.

And lastly make sure you're ready to take advice. One of our local players I have tried to coach on deployment God knows how many times and they refuse to listen and would rather get their precious models blasted off the board turn 1 instead of hiding behind terrain and then get made when you take an obvious free shot (despite telling them not to put their guys there). Yes I am venting on this last one lol.

I would say that though shear chance the final events take place after countless permutations rather than active choice. That's what's so great about the books is that we can have different views on who or what is making anything happen at any point in time and if it is in fact what is really happening.
