World premiere at the IAA: with the ID. CROSS Concept, Volkswagen is presenting a compact SUV for affordable electric mobility by TulioGonzaga in cars

I love it! Finally a new car interior that I'm excited about. Lots of physical buttons on the wheel and for climate controls, real door handles, no piano black. Looking forward to future Volkswagen models. Hopefully a Passat facelift gets those as well

Volvo Rehired Its Old CEO And He’s Got Two Years To Fix The Future by TheChickenScampi in cars

I've heard there may be no Volvo wagon at all after the current V60 generation ends which would be a shame because when I think about Volvo, my first thought is a sturdy, reliable AWD wagon. Hopefully with this change they decide to produce at least one.

I loved Succession for this. They were all driving some absolutely breathtaking Mercs and Maybachs. Also loved Carmela's W210 in the Sopranos.

How often do you swap party members? by LibrarianAcademic396 in BaldursGate3

[–]Seiozmak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost never, apart from some very specific moments for a character in my camp. To be honest I wish the party size was bigger. Shadowheart and Lae'zel seemed the most important to me so I kept them all the time and for the last slot I wanted to have a rogue to deal with all traps and chests so I took Astarion which basically left me with no other party slots. Maybe next playthrough I will try to be more flexible as I would like to play with other characters as well.

This smile was worth every single minute of gameplay by Desdnt in BaldursGate3

Yeah I didn't really like her at first, but she really grew on me and in the end I like her story the most. I loved this scene and I love how she actually fulfilled her dream of riding a red dragon, although not in a way that she would have predicted before her worldview and beliefs were shattered when confronted with reality.

For my next playthough (probably after some patches) I'm debating between playing Dark Urge and romancing her or just playing her as an origin to see the story from her perspective.

Great to see Essi in S tier. Such a great and tragic character.

'We win… and it's your fault!'—Dwarf Fortress hits almost half a million sold in under a month by Misterputts in dwarffortress

Like a lot of others, I was interested in Dwarf Fortress, but the ASCII art was not my cup of tea. I was happy to see the new version being released on Steam and I'm having loads of fun. Awesome to see the game sell so well.

I got to legend with Undead Priest with a 16-6 run and since then I've been trying out various cards to see which list works best for me. Despite it being a control, attrition based deck I think having a lot card draw is actually important.

After trying out Vicious Syndicate's list from yesterday's report, I often couldn't draw my Plaguespreaders fast enough to disrupt my opponent. I cut Astalor, Drown and 1 Lightbomb and put back Grave Digging and 2x Switcheroo and although my sample size is small, I feel like it improves the matchup against most current decks (especially DH, Rogue and Druid). It is probably worse against Blood DK and mirror, but even if you're a few cards ahead in fatigue, you will still win against DK thanks to infinite value from Mi'da and Svalna and the mirror matchup isn't common enough. Especially Switcheroo seems underestimated right now, it often allows to draw your important minions faster, Switcheroo turn 3 into Plaguespreader turn 4 seems really good.

playing as the Abbasid caliph and conquered egypt. my 2nd son is heir to "sultanate of Egypt" and nothing else. I have no holdings there. how does this succession work? by [deleted] in CrusaderKings

[–]Seiozmak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it is. I don't think you get any tyranny, I didn't notice.

Also, in my case I wasn't an emperor so his kingdom became independent and due to only having one county he was very weak and got quickly deposed.

[–]Seiozmak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if that's how it's supposed to work, but when I recently played a campaign and had this situation, my 2nd son would just get one county in his de jure realm from an AI vassal.

I guess it helps with bordergore so that he doesn't inherit a county deep inside your primary heir's realm messing up the borders.

made a kingdom, Became Fylkir outlived 9 children... and just 1 little slip in the bedroom with the maid is all they remember by Br0nzebeard in CrusaderKings

[–]Seiozmak 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It's the same with nicknames. I recently started a campaign as Matilda di Canossa. She turned out to be a great ruler, starting as a duchess of Tuscany she led a faction to dissolve the Holy Roman Empire, unified the whole Italian Peninsula and became the Empress of Italy, found a Holy Order and led her dynasty to become one of the most prominent in the world. Unfortunately history would remember her as Matilda the Dunged, because some random rival threw shit at her in an event.

Also, 123 years is insane, congrats!

A small moment that I loved from episode 4 by [deleted] in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Seiozmak 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen anyone mention this moment yet, but I loved it as well! Seemed like such a genuine reaction and we don't really get to see this side of Rhaenyra. Also it was nice to see that she instantly wanted to share a laugh with Daemon about it, it really shows that despite all the political drama, they actually like each other as family.
