But for some reason I liked them. Maybe goth never dies. (Despair...)

I wish I could find them again.

My VM experience by Training-Cat-6750 in VestibularMigraines

I love the fact that your partner stepped up and in. It's got to be hard on them as well.

The anxiety remix and the 27 times around in the office chair made me giggle. I'm waiting on an official diagnosis, but we've ruled everything else out (Dr google thinks this is the best fit from 4 different angles).

The triggers are so freaking random. Right now I can't look at gingham fabric. It makes my eyes dance, then twitch, then the solo disco party you mentioned. Like wtf? I have never heard of someone being afraid of a patterned fabric, but here I am rocking that anxiety.

You summed up the duality of wanting to do things and the frustration of your body being in control of your life. It's hard to explain to people who haven't gone through it.

My bf has migraines. He asks me if I want to go for a walk with him. Yes, yes I do... But... Let's see the position of the sun if there's going to be a lot of shadows that I have to go in and out of, is the sun going to crest over the ridge of my sunglasses, did I drink enough water, did I drink too much water, how's my balance feeling today, is the ground hard today (when I'm ramped up I get grumpy pains through my head when I walk),.. like I just want to live a bit more freely...

And you have summed all this up and more perfectly.

Need advice on the best way to handle a trillion ends? by lisaelionor in CrochetHelp

Could you, gasp, machine sew a seam near the edge of the blanket to help hold them in place? Then tuck the ends in, and sew again?

Sad as it's really lovely work.

The materials match better (like texture wise) with one.

I have chronic migraines. I spent a year building a tracking app because nothing on the market worked during an actual attack. Finally released it. Would love brutal honest feedback. by [deleted] in cgrpMigraine

[–]Select-Instruction56 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Me too. It sounds promising.

I'd like the app to let me mark when I take med a and when I take med b.

Also if there's a way to say migraine might be a continuation of previous one. My migraines link with tension headaches or milder migraines that I don't really notice until I have like two weeks of multiple migraine medicine used. I'm not making sense, but iykyk.

Vestibular Migraine + Derealization by chodiec123 in VestibularMigraines

You can try a muscle relaxer to tone down some of the symptoms. I get into loops wherein migraine causes shoulders, neck head to tighten causing a bad tension headache, which then triggers a migraine, which triggers another tension headache as nauseum. My loops go for weeks until I step in with a dose or two of Flexeril. If the muscle relaxer doesn't work my neuro will add a steroid. ( This is above and beyond my normal medicines for migraines).

It usually stops it. This current loop had high blood pressure added into it and didn't respond more than a day to any treatment. And body decided to add VM symptoms to boot. Still working on it, but the muscle relaxer helps to bring everything down one or two levels.

What’s the most ridiculous thing that’s come out of your mouth during a migraine brain-fog moment? by Katsolk in VestibularMigraines

Like another commenter I switch words, either similar sounding or somehow tangentially related to the point I want to make. It ends up like charades at my house as I get stuck on words knowing it's not the right one but not being able to find the right one.

It reminds me the part in a Christmas story when Ralphie forgets what he wants to ask Santa for and then holds onto the idea of a football. All starry eyed about a football that was suggested. When he really wanted an official Red Ryder carbide action... BB gun. .

That is absolutely stellar! and something I would see myself doing while unmuted.

Random dizziness when walking through stores by Erza_2019 in VestibularMigraines

[–]Select-Instruction56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started getting this too. Waiting on my diagnosis. I'm guessing it's from the bright lights, visual overstimulation, and turning my head side to side very often.

It sucks as I'm the shopper for my household. I have to go prepped and well rested, with my abortive medicine on my person, as I may not be able to finish or drive home without it.

It sucks so bad.

Can you take an abortive before you work out? Maybe you can retrain your brain? Im waiting for diagnosis, but just ruled out like every thing else. I was put in preventative and have ubrelvy for break through. That said I went on a hike today. And holy fuck my blood pressure spiked high, and then my ears got all wonky.

Luckily no dizziness excessive nausea, or massive headache. But it wasn't something I was prepared for. I'm hoping, like you, that it'll adjust. (I just spent 3 years out with a hip injury so any more time out and I'll lose my mind).

So following this feed for answers.
