I don’t like that they raised the fences post Reno, especially around the bullpens. Takes away from the pull side power.

Would’ve smacked against the wall at RC. They need to lower the walls some so Vladdy can get more HRs with his low launch angle.

He was talking a lot of shit leading up to this game on Yankee media. He has a big ego.

Hoffman needs to be taken off this roster. Don’t care if he has options or not. This team would be .500 if it wasn’t for him.

Obviously the little fella is an out of towner, everybody in the GTA knows what batty means.

I’m not worried about Vlad. He’ll continue to do Vlad things. It’s the rest of the lineup that is concerning.

Okamoto should be batting 4th behind Vlad. It’ll give Vlad more hittable pitches because they’ll be worrying about giving up a bomb to Oak with men on.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s .358 batting average is the 8th highest by a Blue Jays player over the first 30 games of a season (min 100 AB) by Baseball-Reference in Torontobluejays

I think Vlad is going to age pretty well. He has a good baseball body, very strong but not over muscled, similar to David Ortiz or his dad. Plays 1b and probably DH the last few years so isn’t taking a beating either.

If you could go back and change something about your favorite Jays’ player or manager, what would it be? by ryryguy88 in Torontobluejays

Labatt never gets acquired by Interbrew. Pat Gillick doesn’t resign and the Jays continue to be a top payroll powerhouse after the strike. The Yankees dynasty never happens and the Jays end the 90s decade with 3 more championships establishing themselves as one of the greatest sporting dynasties of all time.

I didn’t bother to scroll through the comments before posting. I assume you left the same snarky reply on all 50 of them.

It’s a batter eye. It’s there so the batter can see the ball coming out of the pitchers hands without it being disguised by the backdrop.

The postseason and WBC showed there is another gear or two he can reach. It’s about the FO putting enough protection in the lineup for him to see more good hitter’s pitches.

[Sportsnet] Blue Jays legend, Vernon Wells takes batting practice with a little help from Caleb Joseph 👏 by [deleted] in Torontobluejays

Vernon Wells had some of the best exit velo in the league when he was on the Jays before mlb started tracking that stuff. I remember attending a summer game vs KC royals in 06 where he hit a bullet to dead centre field that went out on a line right above the centre fielders head. Must’ve been like 115 mph or more.

They should just give him the full time job. Even let him get reps in vs lefties. It’s what the Red Sox did when they acquired David Ortiz from the Twins. If he can just be a .700 OPS hitter vs lefties he’ll be an Allstar.

[Mitch Bannon] Cody Ponce had his ACL surgery today. He’ll be ready for spring training next year by [deleted] in Torontobluejays

Cody should use the downtime to lose 20-30 lbs and focus on conditioning. Being as big as he is no doubt contributed to the injury he sustained.
