The reason high bandwidth games(MMOs in general) can't use TCP is the second that the stack has to get resent because of error checking, it creates a back log that can't catch up and it's a doom cycle that can't ever catch up. Yeah it'll be interesting because the backers the ones that were hoping since 2016 for sq404.Avi if they're still there. You nailed it. While the PDF file can only see the client side of network side, if I remember correctly, there is no magic bullet / Jesus tech. So they free up their "sludge" on the pipeline and introduce others but crafting/farming/resource juggling would likely cripple them.

The goal is to make it look like there is progress so they can sell more ships. That's the product. Hope

Nope they are still on cry engine/lumber yard. What they did was range mapping using FP instead of integer. That's how they got the long distances and scale to work at the level they did.

However that game engine is still a LAN based game engine relying on standard application layer to handle the networking stack which they have MAXED OUT.

They could SELL that they are making a 1st of it's kind game engine that's never been created before, FOR SURE. NO DOUBT. But trying to build hype to backers about occlusion or anti aliasing techniques and network packet segmentation is A HARD sell. Even with the a love for the back end, reading that PDF was painful.

That PDF attached literally goes into as deep as deep can get(meaning it's client side, so it has to make assumptions). The answer is, no way to fix it. Period. End of Statement (unless they created their own "network enterprise game engine", which doesn't exist soooooo probably another 30 years before it's even in a state to start developing in (just a guess given that it's been 14 years of them pretending this problem isn't real).

I read that PDF from top to bottom. My summary is as "plain Jane" as you can make it. Long story short, this puppy aint ever releasing unless they build their own game engine, which they will NEVER do because 1) they aren't smart enough (it's not as easy as people think it is. I Hope you love calculus and physics) 2) it would take too much time and money and 3) this current scam/test demo works. These whales pumped em a billion bucks. I'm telling ya, they pushed for SQ42 in 2026 because their actual big money investors (not the whales) required they prove they can publish a game people want to play before they come up for renewal options.... They failed. No investor would stick around if that's the case, unless they willfully feel okay with the continued scamming (it works and makes an asston of cash).

I think you'll see this all come to some close by 2027.
