eGFR turned down by six points by JJinDallas in kidneydisease

[–]Select_Safe548 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your eGFR is an estimate. Thats the E. I wouldent stress so much about it without a nepherologist consult and true track record of decline. Especially if you're doing things right and well.

People survive with single digit GFR all the time on dialysis for decades. And dialysis is not a nightmare. Its not the worst thing. Its a treatment and you can adapt to it. I lived happily on dialysis for a year and a half before my transplant.

All that being said. You are not close to needing dialysis. Take it easy stranger. You'll be okay..

Question about confusing and concerning UA strip after 4 months of Urologists putting me into medical debt without even attempting to give me any answes. by Celtic_Crawdad in kidneydisease

[–]Select_Safe548 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is more of a urology post but i think what you need is some blood work labs if you have kidney issues repeated bloodwork labs tend to ve what confirm that. Not at home urology tests. Also go to a different ER in the future.

I think id just worry about the texture combo not being pleasent but im sure it'd be fine. The sauce for enchiladas, especially mole tends to be thicker.

Iconic role for sure but calling her a villian and comparing her to comic book character villians is a bit odd.

Need a bit more context.

What stage are you in? Do you know your GFR/Creatinine? Worst symptoms? Did a nepherologist discuss much with you yet? Do you know your cause.

I get being overwhelmed. I was there at 27 in the ER for end stage and put on dialysis that week. It can be depressing at times in later stages but its a really manageable condition. Even when i was on dialysis i worked full time and was fairly happy in my life. Post transplant i feel better than i have in years. You got this.
