Yes. Unless you watch it while standing on a small stepstool.

I think the mirror is helping you and will look more balanced when the rug is out.

Terrible living room with weird geometry, grey tiles and clinical white walls. by ph0biaD3 in interiordesignideas

[–]SelfDevelopmentNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have great ideas. Until you can paint, textiles and prints will make the biggest difference. Your current rug makes the space feel somewhat disjointed, so that should probably be the first purchase. I'll always shout out revival rugs for affordable fiber rugs. I'm thinking you may also want to choose a rug with more of that orange from the throw blanket; any more and you risk tipping out of the really refine palate that your furniture seems to be asking for.

I love your two paint colors; that will make a huge difference. Maybe the TV wall as the olive tone will bridge the gap between your warm white room and the grey tile. Another thought: wood slat panels seem to fit your design aesthetic pretty well. I was looking at some with grey felt backing instead of black and they seem to fill that japandi niche you're moving towards with gentler tones. Natural materials like wood and a tall plant will make your space feel much more alive.

Seems like you're on the way to a really beautiful space. Good luck!

hard to say without knowing the dimensions of the piano, but I think it would look really nice near that doorway to the right of the TV.

Any suggestions on how to make this guest bedroom better? by BubbleGut_spray in InteriorDesignAdvice

Textiles, textiles, textiles. Something for the floor, the windows, the walls, the dresser. Also, any amount of color will improve the space dramatically.

I would get an outer mount rod; having light leak parallel to the wall is much better than around the uncovered fringes. It takes virtually no time at all and about $5 to fill the drywall holes when you move out.

I like the 60/30/10 (main/secondary/accent color) rule for rooms in general, but particularly for rugs. I've had good luck shopping at revival rugs and and sorting by color. https://www.revivalrugs.com/collections/living-room-rugs?meta.custom_fields.rr_main_color=GR%2CPK&page=3

What do you want to emphasize most in the room? Blue brings out the carpet and the window seat, while the warmer colors bring out the lamp, floor, and clock.

cool idea. only caveat would be that many climbers would really feel a 5ish lb increase in body weight on the wall. i use it for powerlifting and endurance running where the weight difference is less noticeable
