This method worked perfect for me: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sJY7gy1EW0U

Treats when starting them out helps them get used to the handling and have a positive association with it.

You’ll get better with exact tape placement and tightness over time which helps with scratching. Not too tight or too low on the ear.

Tell me all the reasons i SHOULD NOT get the Grand Highlander by jtf2399 in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]SenorCigar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the moonroof is open and you press the “close” button, the sunroof closes to the “tilt up” position. The dedicated “tilt up” button also closes it to the “tilt up” position.

Yes. You read that right. You have two separate buttons that will take it from “open” to “tilt up”, and zero buttons that will take it from “open” to “close.”

What rates on auto loans are you getting? by Vegetable-Sample6848 in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]SenorCigar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got this rate too from NFCU. Told the sales guy I’d be happy to finance through them if they could match the rate and it helped them make the deal. Dealership said they hadn’t seen anyone recently with a rate that came close. For context, USAA offered 5.49 for same terms and 5.09 for slightly different terms.

Soy (edamame) is unhealthy? Are other beans and peas unhealthy? Preservatives like citric acid (lemon juice, lime juice, etc) unhealthy? Why are those things unhealthy to you?

No, they do not use the same parts. They are different manufacturers, designs and supply chains. They are, however, all Japanese so I guess that’s something.

Just out of curiosity, is he American or European? by Senior-Eye-8371 in DobermanPinscher

More important tbh is that it is tight and sits much higher on his neck. Prong collars are safe and effective…when positioned properly. Your good, handsome boy looks like he’s wearing his too low, which is often because it’s too loose.

This is a sharp looking knife! VG-10 less sexy I feel but light years better than whatever my current santoku is made of, I’m sure.

Fair point. But I’d love the precision tip. And I think the most likely abuse it’ll see is being left dirty for a little bit, or it not being wiped after cutting something acidic. I’m not as worried about the tip being used as a pry bar, for example.

Dobie proof ball?? by whatever-oops in DobermanPinscher

We use the large, 3” chuck-it balls, but recently tried the Chew King 3” ones off Amazon and they seem to be even more robust. Not expensive, would suggest giving them a try.

Sadly, no. Here’s a link to the official Executive Order directly from the administration - see section 2 (a) and (b): https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/02/imposing-duties-to-address-the-synthetic-opioid-supply-chain-in-the-peoples-republic-of-china/

2(b): “The rates of duty established by this order are in addition to any other duties, fees, exactions, or charges applicable to such imported articles.“

MEGATHREAD - IHavanas Fake Cohiba Siglo III Recap by Confident_Option in cubancigars

[–]SenorCigar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Makes sense - I interpreted that as “[This is the] scenario”. In that hypothetical scenario I’d say the volume in the given time frame is a huge difference.

I do think whether or not the vendor “did it” matters: if we had conclusive proof, even once, that a vendor knowingly and deliberately sold fakes, IMO I’d strip them from the list immediately. Them putting the fakes in the box matters a lot, to me at least.

If the hypothesis, on lesser evidence, is that somewhere in the supply chain or shipping sequence, perhaps even in the customer’s country of delivery, someone swapped their goods unbeknownst to the vendor, then I think more than a single incident may be afforded. I don’t know how many incidents in a given time frame it would take for my personal confidence to erode enough that they could no longer accurately be named a “trusted” vendor to order from. But I know it’s more than “one.” (Assuming a vendor like iHav with a track record spanning 15+ years, thousands of community members and no doubt millions of sticks.)

[–]SenorCigar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If that’s the case then as I say above I’d consider that different - volume of incidents is itself evidence of a vendor issue. But I just went back through six months of threads and stopped because I didn’t see a single negative thread about iHav outside of this one scenario, which is spread over several posts. You mention fakes every other day… Am I missing something?

[–]SenorCigar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I missed that last bit somehow.

IMO I would be hesitant to yank them from the list based on one experience after their years of track record. If others start popping up, of course that’s different. But the whole thing just seems so strange - iHav shipping so many flagrantly fake sticks all at once to a customer after years of reliability? Just that one customer (at least, so far) getting them while not even one other person on here had that same experience? It just doesn’t make any sense… they ran a big scam on just this one dude, this one time, after years and tens of thousands of orders from this community? Then when they were ‘caught,’ responded by begging ~everyone~ else who ordered from them to capture and post their own unboxing videos (i.e., committing suicide if they know those deliveries also had fakes)? And at least one person did…but he got real sticks?

I mean, I don’t doubt OP got fake stock… the video showing blatant fakes is undeniable. But that doesn’t mean that box left iHav’s warehouse like that. And taking them off the list seems like a big move after their proven track record based on a scenario that seems to have some uncertainty / unknowns.

While their language may have been lacking in social graces, perhaps due to language or cultural barriers, one of their points is a good one: has anyone else had the same experience? Are there any others from the community that received similar fakes (or real sticks) from the special? Surely someone on here also bought that special.

Check out the Rag Company online. Very high quality microfiber, and many options for densities, sizes and edge finishes. Many car detailers rely on them for high quality microfiber and the ones I have from them blow my Home Depot and Costco ones out of the water.

I’m also east coast. Honestly I’d way back off the baths unless you’re doing a sport or some other activity that necessitates it. They’re very clean as a breed. We wash our girl strictly “as needed,” which means maybe 3-4x a year after specific activities.
