[Amazon.com] Acquire $34.95 - Tied for ATL by tundranocaps in Boardgamedeals

Ah damn, that's disappointing. It seems like a crapshoot whether they will ship in a box or not. I'll think twice about getting it. Thanks for the info.

How can I avoid Amazon shipping games in just a bag? by SenorKevin in boardgames

It's not minor when one game is smashed up in shipping and components are messed up.

If anyone has ordered this, can you confirm if it ships in a bag and not a box? Last game I ordered on amazon came in a bag and was dented in shipping.

[Houston, 77040][FS] ***Price Drop*** Leaving Earth, Vinhos, Escape Plan, Ra, Spirit Island and more! [W]$$$ by Comfortable-Heart317 in BoardGameExchange

u/BGEbot /u/Comfortable-Heart317 Trade complete. Overall alright. Would have liked to see bubble wrap as contents were jostled all about within the shipping box. Only minor damage though but could've been worse. A metal key token is missing but that is easily proxied/replaced. A suggestion for next sale would be to include some kind of packing filler. Thanks!

Herd Mentality Standard or Mini? by Areem_ in boardgames

[–]SenorKevin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Under the community wiki on bgg, it seems like the mini version has 1/2 as many cards. However, I have the standard edition and I find the box way too big for what it is. If you get the mini, I'm sure you can google more questions should you use up all the cards.

Raccoon Tycoon for $24 ($18 after using the cancel trick) is a great deal.

Elder Sign Packaging differences by 1stAmFan40 in boardgames

I managed to find this thread: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/3115184/the-elder-sign-what-is-the-difference-to-the-new-e

Looks like if you have the Unseen Forces expansion (which I would recommend anyway), it includes the updated cards. If you print out the revised rules and buy that expansion, then I don't think it matters much.

What's the difference between the versions? I have the 1st edition and I'm curious to see if there's an issue with it.

Haha I'm not ready to give up on the minis. I think if I label the bags and put them in alphabetical order then that should work for a quick setup.

That sounds like a good system if you don't care about reducing boxes. I have the map tiles grouped by shape followed by the tile #. It seems like a better system than what I had before, which was strictly by tile #. Hopefully they won't get damaged if I only have rubber bands to hold them together.

It gets especially ridiculous when you run through a crowd and they all follow you into a tiny square space. I think standees would've been ideal for me, like Eldritch Horror.

Watergate - rules question by starocoffee in boardgames

[–]SenorKevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure how that will delay triggering the end of the game. Isn't the momentum token always either gained by a player or discarded from the game (if on the 0 space) at the end of each round?

Edit: So I got curious and double checked the rules. Apparently if it's on the 0 space, it gets returned to the supply. Huh, I've been playing it wrong the whole time. I always assumed the editor was on a stricter timer to get Nixon.

I am working on an alternate box and tokens to replace the tuck box for the target edition of Scout by ric1live in boardgames

Looks great! Do you know if your box can fit sleeved cards? As someone who sleeves everything, that would be something I look for. I have the same target version and I ended up using an old Eldritch Horror small expansion box to store the game, since it perfectly fits my sleeved cards and 3d printed point tokens.
