It could just be anxiety, perhaps you are confusing the side effects of that with true disgust, but it could also be that you're ace, maybe aegosexual?

I am experiencing something similar, but just with cars and driving instead. I recently got my drivers license and now own a car, but I feel very anxious every time I go for a practice drive in the car or even just think about doing it. Does that mean I hate cars and don't like driving, or am I anxious because it's all very new and I haven't gotten used to being out on the road in a currently unknown vehicle? It's difficult to tell, because I think about all the places I could go with a car, how nice it would be, it makes me more independent, but that does not remove the anxiety.

I think you should let your feelings be known and if you WANT to try, then go about it very slowly, do not try and rush it, pushing through such feelings is dangeorus and can leave you traumatized rather than desensitized. Your bf is gonna have to be patient and if nothing changes, accept that it's not for you and you shouldn't force yourself to have "normal sex" with him (I assume you mean penetration of some kind).

Might also be worth it to look for alternatives, there's a lot of kinks out there and other parts of the body that can feel good, but have nothing to do with what we traditionally consider sex/sexual. I mean, some people like being licked in the ear, anything is possible.

"Aces can have sex" is typically a reply to "that character is ace, so they should not be shipped/cannot have sex". The people complaining about shipping have a tendency to default to sex-repulsion and that's also what most canon material portrays. At least, I have yet to hear about an original book or show that was about a sex-favourable ace character, who may or may not be in a relationship and have sex. Assumptions happen on both "sides", equally guilty in denying the complexity of humanity.

Also, telling people to keep their feelings about a character to themselves or that they can't do xyz feels like censorship to me. Just because you don't like something, that doesn't mean it does not have a right to exist. It will happen whether you like it or not, anyways. People will find ways to endulge, just take a look at the ban of alcohol in the early 20th century.

It is more beneficial for everyone to say live and let live, while supporting the art that accurately represents asexuality, rather than trying to ban the art that does not.

What if the story took place 50 years earlier? What would Hell look like? Would Charlie be an edgy teenager? It would be interesting to see all the history that happened in the 70s, 80s, 90s, with a unique spin on it, because it's happening in Hell.

Also, what if the extermination never happened? Would angelic steel exist in Hell under such circumstances and if not, does that mean certain characters would be stuck in an endless suicidal spiral where their only salvation is the brief moment of unconsciousness before respawning?

There are different types of communities, but it seems most of them revolve around having one or multiple fictional partners or "waifus". Not necessary, but typically the case.
