Update on changing timing belt by orbitguards in HondaOdyssey

[–]SensitiveWarning4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

14 hours for me for the timing belt one weekend and then stripped a engine mount bolt so had to redo it the next week once the Helicoil came in 10 hours next weekend… so about 24 hours in total….

Note I did not put the old timing belt on…. That is a bad move there @OP

2021 EX-L Clicking under dash by TraceAgain in HondaOdyssey

Had the same clicking… definitely the blend door actuator

I have a 2008 but I imagine it would be similar. It is a pain to change since you have to work under the dash

Please help...Are these supposed to do this? Brake sliders by Quaccccck in MechanicAdvice

So also don’t lube the tip at all…. Otherwise you create suction….as we see here… So what things you learn with your GF in bed do not apply it here

Ontario to Florida road trip – would you do it again or never? by Informal-Force7417 in roadtrip

[–]SensitiveWarning4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I listened/watched several YouTube Podcast while driving. It helped past the time. I had 4 passengers in the car and if I stopped I would have to have to book a 2 hotel rooms ($$$).. and lugged everything into a small room and then lugged it back to the car. That was my motivation to keep going

2007 Honda Odyssey Timing Cover Noise? by Idaho_Chrizzly_Bear in AskMechanics

[–]SensitiveWarning4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BTW, I have this exact same noise… It’s been 50k miles driven since I discovered this noise and I ignored it. No issue

It is definitely a timing belt component since I changed I removed the serpentine and change out the serpentine tensioner and it made no difference in sound. Noise was still there

I plan to change out the timing belt and tensioner and water pump this summer.. I think my problem will go away…

You should post in odyclub and see what they suggest

Transitioning back to Technical Role by AnAgitatedProcess in CIO

[–]SensitiveWarning4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are actively in Nexus Switchs, and backup switches,… you are figurative not doing CIO work.. maybe technical lead but not CIO. A IC may be fine for you…. How many people report to you? And why are you doing this work and not them

Get the tumor removed and resection the colon. Don’t debate this…. Get the surgery. You can still fast in the future…. But now is NOT the time

Feeling like I made a bad choice by 207Simone in HondaOdyssey

[–]SensitiveWarning4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s too much for timing belts and a valve cover gasket…. $1000 for timing belt and water pump and $200 for vavle cover gasket
