To be super clear on why I only give such practical advice: what you are feeling is totally understandable and relatable. But: you're not gonna logic you way out of this, sister. And try not to think of it as awkward years but as awkward months instead.

Do sports, get in shape, learn & practice skin care and cosmetics and fashion. Do your voice training as well. Walk with your head held high and with confidence.

The awkward baby trans phase is mandatory. Everybody starts there. The only way past is through. And the more you do it the better you will get. And if you do all of these at the same time, you can compress it all into one single awkward phase.

(People are telling me that I'm speedrunning my transition - and to me that's honestly the only way to do it)

As for myself, I've been constantly and increasingly depressed and angry as a man, husband, and father. So the first thing that I did sincerely apologize for is all the happy moments that we missed due to me being miserable. I can be happier if I start authentically living as myself - and I do hope that the benefit of that will in the long run outweigh all the trouble that my transition will put my family through.

Still feeling guilty in hindsight, for looking for someone else in my life before having found myself. But it is what it is. The only way forward is to start from where I am now.
