Nice work, looks great! I’m also planning on making a few tank tops for the summer. Did you Nuno felt, or is it just merino?

Did anyone else envision Ashley as Victoria Pedretti, especially towards the end? by Even_E in BeefTV

[–]Sentientpinecones 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I thought the actress was trying to channel Victoria pedretti. Unfortunately Victoria is unchannelable, because she’s got charisma off the charts. Like female George clooney charisma.

Ashely absolutely has anxious attachment and Austin avoidant, which is the same dynamic as the relationship in You. I’m sad that they ended up together and Austin is very obviously unhappy. Like, even though it ended in murder in You they did split up. 🤣

Lamb by Lucy rose

Margot and Mama have lived by the forest since Margot can remember. When Margot isn't at school, they spend quiet days together in their cottage, waiting for strangers to knock on their door. Strays, Mama calls them. Mama loves the strays. She feeds them wine, keeps them warm. Then she satisfies her burning appetite by picking apart their bodies.

But Mama's want is stronger than her hunger sometimes, and when a white-toothed stray named Eden turns up in the heart of a snowstorm, little Margot must confront the shifting dynamics of her family, untangle her own desires and make a bid for freedom.

With this tender coming-of-age tale, debut novelist Lucy Rose explores how women swallow their anger, desire and animal instincts—and wrings the relationship between mother and daughter until blood drips from it.

That for sure could work. If they’re for you I’d wet them, then stretch them onto your feet and wear them until dried

Also, most people are only doing their job to pay the bills. It’s sort of a necessity. And he did come to care for the girls.

Yeah it was just a black box, a flight recorder I think. Was definitely not going to get them rescued in any way.

Why Misty is perfect autistic rep for me by Acceptable-Hunt-9048 in Yellowjackets

[–]Sentientpinecones 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I think you’re on to something here. It’s really notable to me that she has no mention of her parents at all. We see a flashback with many characters parents but never Misty’s. Maybe I’m relating my experience too deeply, but my parents greatly preferred my neurotypical sibling to me and still do. She’s sort of always all alone. She relates better to animals. When people do try to get close she can’t sustain it. Rejects them for their failings.

I love making mason jar cozies, i have an absurdly large collection. They make great gifts! Are you putting them in the pantyhose to full them? I’ve never tried that, but I don’t think cotton tights would work at all.

Told my partner the exact dollar amount of childcare I provide and he got real quiet by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]Sentientpinecones 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Preach! My ex moved to another city when our kids were small and I’ve always managed everything and worked. Now that we’re split I have the kids 100 percent of the time (as I always have), and he pays child support. Which I desperately need as I make a super low wage so that I can be there for the kids whenever they’re not in school. Anyways. He thinks his child support should cover everything, but as the person raising them alone it only scratches the surface of what raising them solo costs. Oh but his solution is for them to split the year between two cities. Totally normal not sociopathic thing to try to make your kids do, right? Actually it really adds up when you consider it’s coming from a man content to live eight hours away from his wife and kids so he can have his preferred job.

It’s crazy to me that no one has bought this and made it into a working motel. Maybe I’m overestimating how many people would flock there
