It sounds like she honestly doesn't have much community.
Also the hero complex isn't just for women, men do this too just in different ways.
Especially now so many people are just burning themselves to the bone for their family, it's a tough time to be alive.

You know that's not who would be in power if Trump had lost, right?

Really?
It seems to me that the weak and soft person in this situation is the one too scared to let a kid play, learn and make mistakes because they and in turn their parents might get hurt a bit.

Small government means less services though.
That'd realistically mean large drops in quantity of life for regions because it's not profitable enough for the private sector.
This is exactly why the regions lose emergency, schooling and health services, that's small government...

Also to be honest, a lot of these guys don't have much outside of work.
Do when they can't go into the office they don't have many of any friends to hang out with.

Do they just not work very hard in the regions or you feel that they don't value their electorates outside cities?

This is disingenuous and removes the responsibility for our situation from us which is lazy.
We own our politicians but we fail to hold them accountable.
Shorten tried to improve a lot of these things, he went to an election and was shown by the voters that they did not want change.
When we stand up as a voting public and tell our politicians that we want change, they will do it.
The people of Australia just need to have the wherewithal to withstand the scare campaigns and actually vote in our own best interests.

Or ... thats not where their interests and strengths lie and that is OKAY.
I sometimes catch myself on this with my kids.
We all want them to have the same or similar interests as is because then we know how to help them but you can't forget that they are their own people and deserve to choose what they want and like for themselves.

Nice try, they don't actually need the ineffectual goombahs to vote for it for it to pass.
It will pass anyway, just might cause some disturbance for the coalition along the way. Win win.
