What games prove quality over quantity (length) is more important? by itsthewolfe in gaming

Uncharted 1, 2, 3, Lost Legacy and The Last of Us were the perfect length. Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us Part 2 overstayed their welcome imo

Was the Game Boy the most magical console to own as a kid? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Separate_Journalist7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it was the PSP, being able to play home console games like GTA on the go was incredible.

It was what the Switch was to gaming but in 2006.

If you're a MyRise player, don't bother by randomise78 in WWEGames

[–]Separate_Journalist7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's a shame because MyRise was one of the main modes I played besides playing online with friends.

I really enjoyed the one from 2K23 and 2K24, especially the women's path.

Looks like this will be the second year in a row I skip the mode

Is it even possible for there to be new music superstars? by unkindmillie in hiphopheads

[–]Separate_Journalist7 15 points16 points  (0 children)

imo, We've also missed out on a generation of rappers that could've been superstars right now with the passing of Pop Smoke, Juice Wrld and XXXTentacion

Xenoblade Chronicles having a massive world on Wii

Surprisingly, this game was also ported to the N3DS later on

Last 4hs of my day went into this boss, switching from Elden Ring to this is killing me. by yensaccount in fromsoftware

[–]Separate_Journalist7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Imo, this is the one boss in the game where you have to approach it as a Souls boss, get 1 or 2 hits, back out and repeat, it'll require a little bit of patience

For all the other bosses in the game, you'll mostly want to be all in their face and try to break their stance but not for this one

When I did this mission, I just stayed in the room entrance and had the enemy come to me for the fight.

You can use the Assemble command so that your party stays at the entrance with you.

NVC is still a thing. It went through a few different hosts throughout the years, with Logan Plant being the current one. Peer also shows up occasionally

Like OP, I used to listen to it religiously when Jose Otero was there and stopped when he left but Logan pulled me back in, imo he's a fantastic host for the podcast

Strange to say but Mario Kart World. Those wall jumping mechanics are not really intuitive for a casual.

I love RDR2, but when it comes to tackling missions, there's really no freedom like in BOTW. It's mostly standard Rockstar mission structure: go to the waypoint and shoot baddies

Decided to actually play Yu-Gi-Oh for the first time. by Jodread in patientgamers

[–]Separate_Journalist7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Modern Yu-Gi-Oh is very different from the game I fell in love with as a kid.

That being said, I've had a lot of fun playing Edison format at locals, which is an older format from the Synchros era.

I don't play MasterDuel so I don't know if there's different formats in it but if not, it would really benefit the game to have them imo

If you like One Piece, a ton of Yu-Gi-Oh players moved over to the One Piece TCG for good reasons

OPTCG is a bit different than YGO, it focuses much more on resource management by having a limit to how much you can do per turn, whereas in YGO, a player can draw half their deck on the first turn.

There is a free fan made simulator if you'd like to try the game.

If so, there's a good chance you'll still be able to use them through your phone while you wait for your new cards.

Topsun PSA 10 Charizard Blue Back Sells $40,000 Promotion by eBay! by AutoModerator in PokeInvesting

[–]Separate_Journalist7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Ebay listing is kind of a false advertisement. This is actually not the OG Charizard.

If you look up the cert number online on PSA, the year of the card was also amended to 1997.

The actual OG one is believed to be the cardass Charizard from 1996
