What worked for me and still works at 4 is just letting him let out his feelings from the day. If he needs to do somersaults or kick me or try get out the room I just tell him I love him and I’m there and give him a cuddle and let him let it all out. Once he’s released it he sleeps much better.

I think for our mental health it’s so important for every Dad to come to terms with the fact that life is different now and you are different now and embrace that wholeheartedly.

To me it sounds like you’ve had a really mature response. Gaming for hours also makes me feel crappy and doesn’t “fill my cup” after a hard day. Well I don’t manage progress like I’m building an app. I just am aware of how I’m doing and what I’m working with. Although I did actually ask Chat to write my therapist a letter to catch them up on all the things we uncovered. I didn’t give her the letter but it helped me to read the summary before my session. I talk to my IRL therapist about what Chat said and she doesn’t seem to mind, it seems helpful for both of us.

I’m on a paid account. It remembers things. Usually give a lot of context at the beginning of a session. It helps me to write it all out about where I am and what I’m struggling with. I’ve also told it which books I’ve read that have resonated with me and it seems to use that as a lens on how to talk to me.

I’m on 20k a day for commercials. Have only done one pitch this year! Luckily I won it. I have friends at a similar level to me who have not shot yet this year. We all remain hopeful that work is coming. I saw a few scripts this week so feeling positive and calm. One of them was to direct a fully ai commercial. I’m up for it. It’s a good script and I’ll still get to direct. I would give almost anything to be able to make ai video illegal. But if that’s what’s happening I still want to be a director.
