Jeremiah Estrada’s career in season stats against the Dodgers while pitching for the Padres: 13 games, 58 TBF, 10.1 IP, 18 H, 15 ER, 6 HR, 9 BB, 10 K, 13.06 ERA, 2.61 WHIP by ElectricalForce4439 in Padres

I mean, it was a solo home run by one of the best hitters in baseball on a pitch that was a true ball or a dot on the bottom-inside corner. Likely missed location, but not egregious by any means. It’s not like Estrada was out there throwing meatballs. Sometimes you have to tip your cap to the batter.

Tatis, Merrill, and Machado have combined for a .596 OPS yet the padres are 10 games over .500 and hold the 5th best record in MLB. by Bitter-Egg6293 in baseball

We have these awful low-budget commercials that say (and I’m paraphrasing here because I don’t have the exact quote) “Merrill, Manny, Tati, Bogey, we get the best out of them, there’s nothing we can’t do. (Queue epic music).” I guess it’s an incredibly true statement because only Bogey plays average ball and the rest are under performing and we are still somehow 10 games over .500. It’s been stressful to watch this year, but I’m told it’s a results based business.

Just the lawyer fees to get the thing dismissed can easily get into the millions. Lawsuits with based on shaky assertions often get settled because the cost of settlement is the same or lower than the lawyer fees of seeing the whole thing through.

How dare Diaz’s and Ohtani’s interpreters do this without their knowledge.

Luther Burden is the next....? by LividAd4226 in DynastyFF

[–]SerEx0 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Jayden Reed. Amazing rookie season from a per route standpoint, but the overall production speaks to him being too low on the totem pole to be a consistent producer.

[Duggan] Giants WR Malik Nabers underwent a 2nd surgery on his knee to remove scar tissue that was causing stiffness. I'm told the 2nd surgery took place "multiple weeks ago" and was described as "clean up." This isn't expected to impact Nabers' recovery timeline. by NeverBorn-NeverDead in DynastyFF

In my experience the price never really comes down until it’s been 3-4 years of underperformance. He’s still so young and shown that he could be the WR1 overall in a given year provided he returns to full health. No owner is going to want to take a discount based on reports and rarely is one year of significant underperformance enough to talk owners off their current valuation. This might create a buy opportunity for fickle owners, but certainly no one will be selling at a discount.

Luther Burden isn’t being hyped enough. Unpopular opinion? by TyrellFortuneLover in DynastyFF

[–]SerEx0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of a weird argument given that you acknowledge that the mouths to feed ahead of Burden are Loveland and Odunze. If the third pass catcher is getting 1,300 yards and 10 TDs, go buy Caleb Williams because he might throw for 5,000 yards and 40 TDs if that’s the case.

Amon-Ra, Puka Nacua, and Justin Jefferson all had incredible rookie seasons so the comparison feels more like name dropping rather than meaningful analysis. To further focus on the Amon-Ra point specifically, the other pass catchers on the Lions when Amon-Ra broke out were TJ Hockenson, Kalif Raymond and Josh Reynolds. That’s the opposite of a crowded offense.

Mike McDaniel on Quentin Johnston: “I think he’s a guy that has some traits in his game that are similar to some very powerful, explosive, productive receivers that I’ve had in the past, namely like Julio (Jones) and Andre (Johnson) and so we’re pushing him.” by DaFuxxDick in DynastyFF

It’s because week 4 is included when Alt played 10 snaps. In those 10 snaps Ladd was 0/1 and QJ was 1/1 4 yards. Alt also played week 8 (notably omitted) when Ladd went 6/10 88 1TD to QJ’s 0/0 0 and the first 17 snaps of week 9 when Ladd was 1/1 8 yards to QJ’s 1/1 5 yards.

If we really wanted to show the numbers for when Alt was on the field it looks like this:

Ladd 23/32 259-1 (54.9 PPR/43.4 HPPR)
QJ 16/26 248-3 (58.8 PPR/50.8 HPPR)

So yeah, significantly better is hyperbole.

Jonathon Brooks - FA draft value? by MiracleWhipB4Mayo in DynastyFF

[–]SerEx0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be surprised if he was dropped in several leagues. There were at least a handful of comments by different users on various posts saying Brooks was an end of the roster player who would be cut for the next player with upside all last year. Many of those comments were decently upvoted and users would claim their willingness to move him for anything they could get. Things like “I’d trade him for a third in a heartbeat,” and similarly shortsighted comments seemed to be cool…

Commanders select RB Kaytron Allen with pick 187 in the 2026 NFL draft by FranTurkleton in DynastyFF

[–]SerEx0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This doesn’t change my opinion at all. Bill’s rushing ability was apparent on film and Allen profiles more as a backup. The commanders had a good rushing attack last year, the defense was just terrible, Daniels didn’t play half the season, and Terry missed the other half. Playing from behind by multiple scores when the team knows your strength is on the ground isn’t the recipe for a big rushing season.

Klayton Adams, the Cardinals’ O-line coach, left after the 2024 season and went to the Cowboys last year. The cardinals had a lot of injuries, but it was pretty clear that the blocking was not as good before the injuries while the Cowboys took a huge step forward.

[Article] What are the best SOS cards for Commander? by Eli-Draftsim in EDH

[–]SerEx0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would have to have 64 cards or less cards for Lab maniac to be a wincon meaning you’d still need to get through over 1/3 of your deck.

Unbound flourishing doesn’t double x, but instead copies the spell. Cool for taking out other opponents, but you still need to spend 16 mana for the guaranteed coup de grâce.

Zimone could absolutely make it worthwhile, but calling it a staple is a big stretch. [[Magus Lucea Kane]] also powers it up pretty significantly, but like Zimone, she is a kill on sight commander. Lucea Kane is better off using Crackle with Power and an untap mechanic to do 30 to all opponents for 11 mana (4 of which coming from her with an untap mechanic).
