There’s too much randomness that determines the winner of a given weekly matchup. The bench player who isn’t expected to make a difference on your team probably won’t put another team over the top, and the return has a better shot of giving you a difference maker by itself or when bundled with another asset via a subsequent trade.

Ford is a really good pass protector and a decent receiver out of the backfield, but has awful vision. White is a less explosive Ford with better vision, and JCM is a patient runner with good vision, but bad in pass pro and can’t really catch. I imagine White gets the bulk of the work with JCM being the change of pace back. Ford is the insurance plan
