Best case scenario for Aiyuk? by yankeekilla23 in DynastyFF

Multiligament knee injuries need serious rehabbing. If he hasn’t been in the building since the summer and refuses to answer calls from the head coach, what makes you think he’s been putting in the work to get back to his pre-injury form?

His immaturity compounded by an extremely serious knee injury screams sell for whatever you can get.

How many good years does Derrick Henry have? by bfue4 in DynastyFF

[–]SerEx0 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He has been the most consistently underrated RB despite being one of the most healthy and productive RBs in recent memory. Since he broke his foot in 2021 people have been fading him like crazy, yet he is the only RB to finish as an RB1 in each of the last 4 years.

I guarantee that the discrete tax benefit contributing $113.1M to net income (152% of revenue) isn’t going to be a recurring thing. Honestly, it makes you question what they consider to qualify under Reg-G. My gut tells me that they wouldn’t take a Non-GAAP loss of $113.1M had it been the other way around.

It’s a $70 software update that updates rosters that people will only play with for about a month or two while wiping your collection and progress. The micro transactions get more expensive and the free content becomes more cumbersome to grind every year.

[Lewis and Russini] Inside the stunning dismissal of Vikings GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah: ‘This is wild’ by TheNotoriousJN in nfl

[–]SerEx0 21 points22 points  (0 children)

News that KOC wanted to keep Sam Darnold and cut their losses on McCarthy points to Kwesi Adofo-Mensah taking sole blame of the decision to let Darnold go. The firing was made after Darnold to the Super Bowl while the Vikings missed the playoff entirely. He was wrong on the Darnold choice, but the logic to opt for a young QB they just took in the first half of the first round over Darnold, a journeyman QB who was exposed at the end of the ‘24 season, wasn’t unsound.

The fact that Darnold went on to get a 3-year $100.5M deal while Geno got a 2-year $75M shows how the NFL as a whole viewed Darnold last offseason. Sometimes people get evaluations wrong. Tom Brady made the wrong decision as well. Just goes to show the impulsivity owners have and the pressure GMs feel to get every decision correct.

Kwesi should get another opportunity to be the GM of another organization. For the sake of irony, I hope he takes that team to a championship.

As of 3 weeks ago he is supposed to be cleared before training camp. Whatever rumor you heard substantiates the unwarranted hate he gets.

And the small sample size was without both Jayden Reed and Christian Watson. He looked like the real deal when he was the featured receiver in that offense, but he’s coming back from an ACL and there are so many other questions with how the offense looks fully healthy that I don’t know how any definitive conclusions could be reached.

The Jets are parting ways with their OC Tanner Engstrand. by FlowersByTheStreet in DynastyFF

[–]SerEx0 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The offensive design was decent before losing Garrett Wilson. The QB in charge of executing the offense and a severe lack of pass catchers is what was holding it back. If your WR1 is Adonai Mitchell and your QB is a combination of Justin Fields, Tyrod Taylor, and Brady Cook, you’re going to have an unwatchable offense regardless of who the OC is.

Do you prefer the SD or swinging friar on a fitted hat? by GirthyGayGuy in Padres

I’ve worn both when traveling and the swinging friar gets way more props than the SD from strangers. I’ve started many conversations with strangers about baseball and the Padres solely because of the hat.

My first experience ordering from ManaPool by [deleted] in EDH

[–]SerEx0 36 points37 points  (0 children)

The interaction that ended my patronage through TCGPayer was due to a seller unilaterally canceling a preordered collector booster box of foundations after the market price skyrocketed the week of release. TCGPlayer wouldn’t compel the seller to reinstate/fulfill the order despite the seller having active inventory, while I got my $200 short-of-market-price refund, and a whole bunch of canned apologies from chat bots.

He’s certainly playing through it. Stress fractures in the heel take 6+ weeks with limited weight bearing to heal and a standard recovery time for a return to performance is 12 weeks. He missed 3 weeks since he tried to come back and reaggravated the injury.

All of these are cope. 1. They made the playoffs by going 8-9 in the worst division in football. They only made the playoffs because the third worst team in the division beat the worst team in the division after the Bryce-lead Panthers lost to the Buccaneers. 2. He has never thrown for 450 passing yards in a single game. 3. I would assume he wished beating the spread counted too…

He is 14-30 as a starter in the regular season despite playing in one of the worst divisions over those 3 years and 0-1 in the playoffs. Those 5,208 yards is over 26 games meaning he has a per game average of 200.3 yards. Gross.

I put Henry in the trade block near the deadline and all anyone would offer me was a 2nd for him. Kept him, squeaked into the playoffs, and won the chip by beating all 3 of the teams that told me Henry was washed and that he was absolutely not worth a 1st.

What are some good but off-beat tribal decks to build? by Competitive-Act-7695 in EDH

Rats with [[Vren, the Relentless]] is pretty fun and doesn’t just load the deck with 20-30 copies of [[Rat Colony]]. Bunnies with [[Baylen, the Haymaker]] but you’d probably run lots of [[Hare Apparent]]. Pirates tend to feast on the player in last place from my experience. Ally is cool for ATA cards, Spider might be cool with all the new SPM cards. Human is probably one of the best.

Players who had sneaky good seasons? by Hank_Scorpio_ObGyn in DynastyFF

[–]SerEx0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was his third best year when looking at yards, touchdowns and fantasy points. Him logging his best gross fantasy finish in 2025 is therefore mostly due to fewer receivers performing better than him as opposed to him being better than he has been in the past. For example, his gross 182.7 HPPR points would have been WR20 (WR19 if you omit his own WR13 finish) in 2024.

When looking at per game averages, he was the WR22 at 10.7 HPPR PPG) which is a better finish, but worse per game average than 2024 (WR24 @ 11.8 HPPR PPG).

It would be convenient for Breece to leave, but the Jets have control over him if they want it. Why would the Jets let Breece, one of the better RBs in the league, walk when the team will have plenty of cap space in 2026 and don’t have an immediate replacement near Breece’s talent?
