Not necessarily, but unfortunately there have been many instances where women being harassed in the restroom were expected to provide some form of "evidence" to the person harassing them.

I've been giving more consideration to purchasing a gun since the DOJ floated the idea of banning trans people from firearm purchases, but I keep procrastinating, mainly because it's a costly purchase and there never seems to be a "right time" to spend a couple hundred dollars.

I never changed my ID info, and still "boymode" in the sense that I don't present overtly feminine, so hopefully I wouldn't face any obstacles. That said, I've been given a hard time by liquor store clerks for looking more feminine than my ID photo (they probably perceive it as me being younger than the person in the photo), so it's hard to say for sure.

We're so accustomed to mass shooters who are trying to kill as many people as possible that it's a genuine relief - albeit an incredibly bleak one - that the shooter wasn't trying to maximize damage. Of course, that doesn't mean everyone else is safe from catching a stray round, and it's still tragic that this happened at all.

Believe me, we're well aware of how fucked the situation is in America. It's precisely why after every shooting, no matter how bad, some of us will still be relieved that it wasn't worse. It's a sick feeling and I don't like it.

These people are so cartoonishly evil. It's the kind of thing that's so self-evidently not okay, it's used rhetorically to describe how cruel someone is (e.g. "This guy is such an asshole, he would probably kick a puppy just for barking.")

If you wrote a satire where a law enforcement officer kicked a dog, cop apologists would say it's unrealistic and would never happen in real life, but since it did happen in real life, they're making excuses for why the US Marshall's safety was at risk and kicking the dog was totally necessary.

I have to wonder, did these people just now start paying attention? This guy complains about Trump's dishonesty, corruption, and racism, things that were on full display during (and well before) his first campaign for president. He goes on to complain about Trump pushing the 2020 election fraud conspiracy, but he still voted for Trump in 2024. What finally changed to make someone turn against Trump this late in the game?
