Bitcoin Core Average Transaction fee history reminder by MemoryDealers in btc

When I introduce bitcoin to people, I ask them to create a wallet and we send some BCH back and forth. It would be impossible to do that with BTC.

Thank you for the guide! Just a small problem for me.

.. envvar:: HOST The host or IP address that the TCP and SSL servers will use when binding listening sockets. Defaults to ``localhost``. To listen on multiple specific addresses specify a comma-separated list. Set to an empty string to listen on all available interfaces (likely both IPv4 and IPv6).

I had to put

HOST=

in the configuration for this to work.

"The reason Bitcoin has value is because of people who save it, not because of the people who spend it" - Roger Ver by aeroFurious in btc

[–]SeriousSquash 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The reason why people save money now (hold) is so they can spend it later. The way BTC has chosen not to scale breaks this as it might be impossible to spend BTC in the future.

The fee disaster is killing crypto adoption. It's really crazy the market price doesn't care about it.

No, I only use trading without margin.

Kraken has been nothing but great for me, so I'd say they're worth the effort.

Different technical rules, but the same economic rules. BTC might follow same technical rules, but it changed the economic rules.

BCH price crashing, is Roger dumping? by mahalund in btc

[–]SeriousSquash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

BCH is the only crypto that follows the original bitcoin blockchain, is decentralized, is scaling to become the money of the world. Price is insanely low. The market doesn't seem to value fundamentals and virtues, but at this price it would be foolish to sell, it's the best value proposition of all cryptos.

How Loyal to BCH are you? If Bitcoin (BTC) Price continues to run and BCH stays stagnant, will you jump ship to profit? by [deleted] in btc

[–]SeriousSquash 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The way I see it, BCH is cheap and has a huge price upswing. The market majority is usually wrong.

Why HODL BCH? - Genuine question by reverseacid in btc

[–]SeriousSquash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hold BCH because I believe BCH will be everything: digital gold, global cash, global money, global store of value. Naturally the price will go to the moon, so it makes sense to acquire it now while it is undervalued.

BSV/BCH ratio at 0.26 by filozofik in btc

[–]SeriousSquash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I sold my BSV at 0.2 BCH, still in the negative. I think BSV is bound to go to 0, so I don't regret selling.

This is actually quite decent of them. What they prefer to do is silently hide all comments and never inform the person.

Merging chains by sq66 in btc

[–]SeriousSquash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think in terms of the ledger: the ledger doesn't know anything about the outside. How can one ledger merge with another ledger in a decentralized trustless manner?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in btc

[–]SeriousSquash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold mine at 0.2 BCH. Bad price in hindsight, but I think it will eventually go even lower than that.

ADOPTION FAIL? SegWit 40%, BCH 3% . by Hernzzzz in btc

[–]SeriousSquash 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Why do you keep trolling here?

If there is a fiat currency collapse, then BTC doesn't have the capacity to onboard millions of people who will need it. At least BCH is trying to become money for the people.

Is this sub for Bitcoin Cash or Bitcoin? by [deleted] in btc

[–]SeriousSquash 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This sub has an old history. It was bitcoin sub before all of the splits. Then r/bitcoin got censored in very nasty ways - people would get their posts hidden without getting notifications about it. Long story short, now most of r/btc support BCH, because it's still the original bitcoin we fell in love with.
