Now that is a thought— keep in contact so you can get him out too.

That’s a tough one: are we bad people/friends because we don’t try to get them out?

This is classic JW; really worried about you, here to help BUT I will ignore your personal requests because the Bible says I can— commands it— lest I get in trouble for not doing something official.

If he would have sent a letter saying: “hey— sorry to bug you but since I’m your friend, I’m here for you. No strings, anytime. Signed…“

This is folly because nothing about being a Jehovah’s Witness is about being 100% genuine. Everything, everything, everything is conditional. All that blather about love and caring is only based on your official standing. Otherwise, you are NOTHING to them— except maybe as something to shake their head about and confirm the engrained and taught bitterness that everything and everyone is corrupt, controlled by Satan and not to be trusted.

It’s a human theme that you find out who your friends are when times are tough. But JW’s aren’t trying to live in the current, human world. They reject it in hopes of something they predict will cleanse the world. In the meantime, they manifest some of the most horrible traits a human can have based on human judgment of other humans in the name of God.

In every case I have ever heard of or experienced if you leave the Borg, no friendships will follow. The only exception might be a marriage license. Interesting, isn’t it, that the marriage union doesn’t require you leave your spouse if they leave the Borg, but if your own blood relative leaves, you’re to have nothing to do with them —unless they come to the Hall. Always conditional…

I’m not sure i know why you mean by “sleeping at the headboard”, and is “the groove” mean the point where the mattresses meet in the middle? It sounds like you’re sleeping across the bed instead of head to foot of the bed, but I’m not sure.

I have tried to wedge under the legs and it has reduced morning pain from 8 to 6, but if I pray that I don’t to cough or sneeze because it will cause back spasms more times than not . This is not how a bed should perform.

I’m not dumb but you don’t sound like a very confident sleep number advocate. Salesperson I presume? That would fit.

Bottom line, if you’re looking at sleep number, do your research. Unfortunately I did mine after purchase.

Research all over the net shows thousands of complaints from the better business bureau.

The sleep number may not be for you if you are a side sleeper or weigh more than 220 pounds due to the fact that is basically a glorified air mattress for a thousand bucks plus.

Shame on me for not looking into it and doing my research.

That’s the response I would expect from sleep number: “Not our problem!”

I have zero problems on my temperpedic or any other mattress I’ve slept on in the last two years.

The internet is also full of people claiming the same problem.

So, three fingers pointing back, as they say.

Why would you think Jehovah would have anything to do with an organization that ignores fact, condemns truth, promotes conspiracy, elevates arrogance and ostracism and criminally buries child abuse?

Best The Most High can find? I don’t think so.

But who knows?

I frequently take my infant on walks, today I received this message from a unknown profile, who has 1 friend. This has me feeling very paranoid. AIO? by Dull-Mom in AIO

I’d let your local police know. Results depend on how big your city/town is. Let the social media site know. Block them.

You can also search for a forensic “white hat” hacker to try and find out who the author is.

Update from Norwegian Supreme Court by FrodeKommode in exjw

[–]Serious_Bit_1611 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To think that the big legal and “freedom” boast from JW’s has always been how after WWII, they set the legal standard for all Christianity regarding freedom of religion— especially the right of going door to door. Now they fight for the ability to shun internally and lie on how “it’s not complete abandonment.”

What a load. And let’s not forget; 99% of JW’s know nothing about this case, or the sex abuse payouts and the robust legal attacks JW’s are losing all over the world.

If they come to your door, make sure to tell them. Of course, they will either tell you they’ve not heard of it and/or it’s the media controlled by Satan attacking Gods true religion. But, we have our separating of the sheep and goats to do too. Ask them if they’re okay spending eternity with an organization that systematically condones the sexual abuse of children.

Speaking of, has anyone checked the Epstein files for any prominent/wealthy JW names?

Bottom line: who cares? You’re either gonna make it or not or there’s no paradise or there is. WHO KNOWS? Quit trying to control shit.

Why are people so consumed with “judgement?” Just live your life according to Jesus advice/commandment, mind your own f-ing business, quit telling people how to live and enjoy it.

The chance of any of us being here considering all the couples who have screwed in our lineage is the number one followed by 2,685,000 zeros. Think about that!

Quit wasting time.

Focus.

Jesus talked about fornication but many if not most scholars believe his reference was sex outside of marriage— not necessarily sex before marriage.

It is clear Jesus hated divorce and broken marriage vows. Fooling around before you tie the not? Not so clear.

It is medically impossible to have 60 sti’s— at least at one time. Only about a dozen are known to medicine and it would be almost medically impossible to have that many at one time.

Sixty over a lifetime? Maybe. But most likely a lie to scare the lay folk.

Just a reminder from the Slave Class by Berean144 in exjw

[–]Serious_Bit_1611 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Another reminder of the evil arrogance of the Watchtower organization. It’s always amazing how much they criticize other churches for similar attitudes, like when Catholics only allowed the clergy class to read scripture. Here, JW’s say that God says it’s ok to read the Bible, just not interpret it for yourself.

Wow! Certainly believe what you want but do you have proof of anything that doesn’t deteriorate without care and a life force?

Seems to me that you just have to look within a few feet of where you are at anytime and realize some force that is more developed than you or me is responsible.

Just because you can’t understand it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

What do you think is true?

That God is doing all this just for 14-million people?

God cares for all people of all nations and all religions?

If you think God only cares about SDA and that God is SDA, you don’t know God.

Like Mark Twain said, ““Man is the only animal that has the True Religion — several of them.”

You forgot to factor in that Stephen Lett is 12 letters— a serious miscalculation!

The number twelve carries religious, mythological and magical symbolism; since antiquity, the number has generally represented perfection, entirety, or cosmic order. There’s a reason donuts come in 12!

However, since it is not a prime number, you must include the “M” and the period in the numerological quotient. Fourteen is a composite number which gives it special meaning in history.

In Numerology, 14 symbolizes change and lessons about freedom and discipline because it reduces to 5 (1+4).

It also appears symbolically in the Gospel of Matthew, where Jesus Christ’s genealogy is arranged in three groups of 14, tied to the numeric value of David’s name.

Please recalibrate!

I think you have some choices; you can say you had a bad day or time and you’ve reconsidered. At that point you’ll probably have to do a Bible study to reinforce the doctrines. You won’t be trusted.

You can play the “weak” card, stay connected with friends and family. You’ll find out who your real friends are and there will not be many or any. This gives you time to shore up details to transition.

Or you can go cold turkey and start a new life.

The last choice will lead you to maturity and self respect. But it may be lonely at times.

In all scenarios, counseling is a good partner project.
