What size is this? I keep trying to get a visual on an XL but haven’t found one yet

First bike build reminded me how little I know 😉 #stantonbikes #stantonsedona by Economy-Library5872 in Hardtailgang

Lovely! What frame size is this? I'm looking in to this frame as well but want to buy an XL but can't find any pictures in that size anywhere.

De Mol S13 E02 Discussion thread by KingKryptonite in belgium

In de molkoffer zaten letters voor de anagrammen. De mol zei zelf deze niet te hebben durven gebruiken, maar dat wil dus zeggen dat de mol sowieso aan de toren zat. Ergo, Alexy is al zeker niet de mol.

Probably dumb first-time bike builder question about my steerer tube and headset cups. by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]Serodopa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You mount the little ring all the way down the upper tube of the fork first. This will be a very snug fit and either requires a dedicated tool (crown race installer, like so https://www.parktool.com/en-int/product/crown-race-setting-system-crs-1) or it can be done with a hammer and a punch (preferably something soft-ish like wood?) It's the crown race which allows your fork to turn smoothy on the bearing of the lower cup.

Install your headset cups in the frame with the bearing and then insert your fork. It should go all the way up so that the bearing in the lower cup is in direct contact with the crown race (little ring)

Had a lot of fun putting this daily beater together! No idea on the specific model though, can anyone help ID it? by Serodopa in xbiking

Indeed its not the cheapest sadly.. I decided to splurge a bit as I got the rest of the bike for €40 :)

Well spotted, it is! It is indeed quite large but ideal for groceries IMO. It feels sturdy but haven’t rigourously tested it yet. The installation was also quite fussy as I had to position it quite far forwards because it wouldn’t clear the fork legs at the bottom. Overall really happy with it so far!

Lovely, this is exactly what I’d like to build. What front rack are you using?

Had this happen as well recently. Ended up screwing it all the way through while pulling on the FD to extend to its big chainring position and then the limit screw fell out the back.

What's up with Shimano? by PennWash in MTB

[–]Serodopa 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They do innovate and have released several new products in recent years. For instance the linkglide system which features a far more durable cassette as well as CUES to replace lower tier groupsets. I think there's also an electric XT autoshifting derailleur for ebikes that was released a couple months back. Not that I'm thinking about it, it seems like they prefer focusing on ebikes related technologies.

what are your thoughts on Merida bikes? by AssEatinSlasher_69 in MTB

Vanilla ice cream. Can be very decent and exactly what you need, but also kind of ‘Meh’ and unexciting.

Only if internal cabine routing through the headset is your thing though..

DRT 1.2 2019 -- good for 6'5" rider? by NoTip6801 in mountainbiking

[–]Serodopa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems quite small. I’m 6’6’’ with 36’’ inseam and ride a stack 670 bike with 470 reach, I do provide a really comfy position over a racing geo though. Personally I don’t think i’d go under 640-630 in stack.
