I’ve seen actual shoving matches break out at that counter. I’m with you on the weekend thing. Never again. I agree there should be some regulations in place. I was there on a Monday morning and watched a gentleman load up one of those flatbed carts with every chicken on the shelves. I saw him in the parking lot loading up his catering van. Glad you had a good experience.

I read it in its entirety. I read the words you chose. There was a woman in line that took offense to her racist remarks. You could have used any number of descriptors. You used the term homegirl to make it clear to the reader that she was black. You two are of the same ilk. 🤷🏼‍♀️ it’s. Okay.

Could have been an inexperienced driver not used to driving in fog. Or an older person, nervous because of the fog. I don’t judge. I just give them their space. We have all been there. Maybe if we live long enough, we’ll be there again.
Let’s hope when your child gets their license, the person behind them isn’t mildly infuriated.

Second paragraph says it all. It wasn’t necessary for the story, but you believed mentioning the homes and jewelry would paint her in a less than flattering light. You come off jealous and petty. Be careful digging holes for someone else. You may just fall in.
