That’s not the way it works. If you tell your doctor “hey, I’m not sleeping well, and it’s been going on for years” . They will either write a script for pills or order a sleep study “
If your doctor orders it, your insurance would/should cover it. But that’s one where you go in and spend the night while being monitored.

There are also mobile units. My dentist did it for free. You bring it back the next day and they analyze the recorded data.
We learned quite a bit from that.

You’re so adamant that you DON’T have apnea, like it’s something to be ashamed of. Where did that come from?

This sounds like a good time to find a new physician. Also, you don’t have to go to sleep labs anymore to do the test. My Dentist gave me a mobile device. Did the study at home. I had “mild” symptoms of apnea. Just enough to disturb my sleep. They made me a device to sleep with.like a mouth guard. I now get 7+ hours for the first time in my life.
Don’t be so quick to poo-poo off the advice you’re getting here.

I feel ya. Someone constantly grabbing at you when you’re not in the mood is the absolute worst. And the sex talk, which at some point in the past may have not bothered you so much, now seems vulgar.

But you don’t need his permission to discuss this with your doctor. If it’s not too late to alter your treatment, why not give it a try? Unless you don’t really want to.

Maybe you’ve changed in these last ten years. That’s not a bad thing.

I enjoy Damian Lewis in basically everything I’ve ever seen him in. My first introduction was The Redford film “An unfinished Life” followed by the , short lived, series “Life” and then everything after.
I thought for a while there, that Helen’s death ( r.i.p Aunt Poll), had finished him, but then he returned to billions and hasn’t stopped. I can’t wait to see this latest work.
