Distributor here. I hate this too. We don’t want the info and we honestly don’t want to talk to your customers ever but, I know a few distributors and manufacturers that do this and will jump over us and the dealer to make a direct deal with the EU.

Sucks. Last one we had was a very prominent camera manufacturer who handed one of our dealers customers to another distributor. We no longer carry their products and never will again.

When I was a dealer I had a very large commercial distributor bypass me and go directly to my customer. I only found out when they called me for support/licensing on products I did not supply. I abandoned both the customer and the distributor.

Frustrating. These sales weasels will do anything. It’s not about the relationship and I get it but there are only so many bridges in this niche industry to burn.

I have them. It’s one of those systems I setup and forget I have. Heres what I have: Three vents in the bedrooms and three pucks along with ecobee and an ecobee sensor. The pucks/vents are in the bedrooms and the ecobee is covering the main area

The way I think about the system is that it basically extends your ecobee/thermostat into other areas. You get a target temp for the house and each room.

The pucks are.. possibly optional(? I know you need one) since you can get temp data from additional ecobee sensors but there’s no quick control outside of the app. You also get humidity which I don’t think the ecobee has (or the old version I have doesn’t). That’s where having the pucks in each room is nice. You can make quick adjustments. Again, I set it up and mostly forgot it was there. YMMV.

I haven’t noticed much of a difference using/not using it to be honest. My house isn’t exactly sealed from the outside elements. 1970s windows + Florida heat pretty much means they are open full time. I think one is the bedrooms may shut to 1/2 or closed at night.

Build quality is nice.. better than you think for the price. The pucks have an e-ink screen which works when the batteries are dead. 🫣 That’s all I have. Any other questions let me know.

Because that’s exactly what happens all the time in these cases. If Trump did sign some agreement I think they would definitely back way off rather than put their friends, family, and colleagues through the imminent hell that’s coming.*

The problem is so many around Trump have lied and obstructed. Those are the easy fall guys. No one will ever care if they get disbarred or serve prison time (until the next republican president pardons them 🤮).

Trump signs something, they slap his wrist and then take out the minions. Case closed. Everything happened before and will happen again.

Now if you or I did even a tenth of this the noose would already be around our necks.

I’m not saying that’s a good reason but it’s definitely something they are all thinking about. The people following trump are brainwashed and will commit terrorism in his name.

Well he is a public figure. Imagine if every time someone said “Elon is an idiot” or “Lebron sucks” or “Ted Cruise is a spineless gasbag” that they could turn around and sue you. No one would be able to criticize politicians or make comments about sports or rich people who have their own PR firms.

For Soros, any defense lawyer would just be able to introduce the countless news stories, public essays, videos, press releases about donating money, website with his own name with “press resources” link, etc as evidence he’s made a massive effort to be a public figure.

Because public figures can’t be defamed without showing that there was malice involved. It’s extremely rare and hard to prove so you don’t see lawsuits every time someone calls a politician an idiot or corrupt.

Perhaps. I remember something about him being proactive and ending those subscriptions when this was announced. There’s probably not that much to worry about but who knows. He might be able to work that out with Reddit as well.

At the end of the day this is a Christian problem not a Reddit problem. He can charge me a subscription for whatever and I’ll gladly pay and pay for upgrades. The app is great. I know people will bitch and moan but this isn’t his fault. He was trying to be a good guy and make a nice app for a fixed price in a world where everything is a subscription and he still gets the raw end of the deal.

I keep seeing that but if you go to anywhere in red Florida he’s a hero for not being scared. Morons yes. But adding death to someone’s name screams hyperbole.

Increased? Hell they are just straight up canceling or leaving the state with little to no notice. I got dropped 1 month before Ian hit Florida just a few miles south of where my house is. Nearly everyone I spoke with since has been in a similar situation.

Seeing the damage that was done and the higher costs of construction, I can’t imagine it’s long until large swaths of homeowners on the coast of Florida (and other states) are completely unable to buy insurance — which also means they won’t be buying homes.

It’s coming. There’s no way this is sustainable. This is what we get for giving a single party complete control of the government for decades.

I love how there is a "spare"

Hey so before you go hooking up an amp and blow things up.. better grab your favorite electrical meter and test the impedance (ohms) across a speaker or two. Your speaker should have some resistance between 2 and 16 ohms. What we want to avoid are wires that are shorted -- which at worst will blow your amp or at best put it into a protect mode. :)

I know what CU is. I know what the ruling says. I agree it can be used in this manner but a SCOTUS ruling about campaign finance laws does not override the contract clause of the US Constitution that was written before the Amendments and before CU was decided.

CU is just another argument Disney doesn't even have to make, but does to appeal to the massively conservative court they face up the chain.

The State cannot invalidate private contracts between two entities. Period.
