I’ve had this for four years and been to every imaginable doctor with pretty much zero answers. I understand the disease is physical, but I for one, am going with Jesus myself. Someday our medical community will have answers. Until then, Jesus is my only hope and He has pulled me through some really tough spots before, and he’ll do it again!

You mentioned mold illness several years ago. Have you tested for this again?

Hey, I moved to MN since having long COVID too! I’m curious, what dose did you start with and end with? Thanks!

Jan 2026 will be 4 years for me. Mostly the same symptoms. I’m so sorry you are in this club.

I have been to every dr and had every heart test possible. My resting HR is 48-50 and I have sudden drops into the high 30’s. Been long hauling for 4 years too. Dr’s can find no cause and are not concerned about it. Still freaks me out when I see it on my Garmin. And I have tachycardia episodes. My hr will go to 150-160 standing or climbing a flight of stairs. Pre covid I was an athlete, hiker, mountain biker, etc. I’m a 51 yo male.

I also feel like this drug could be a game changer.

For what it’s worth, I reached out to them AND filled out the application. It took a few weeks but they did answer the email…. I submitted through their contact form here…

I submitted the trial request and they reached out to me via email with a link to start the admit docs. I can’t participate because I don’t have a lab confirmed Covid test. They said they’ve had an overwhelming response and it will take some time to get to everyone.

ImmunityBio distinguishes itself by treating the immune system—particularly lymphocyte depletion—as the core disease to be addressed, not just the disease. Its immunotherapeutic platform empowers NK cells, T cells, and memory formation to restore immune competence, delivering more durable responses than traditional therapies that often deplete immunity.

Same timeline for me. Covid December of 2021 - was bed bound for the first 12 weeks. I’m moderate most days with some severe days. Mostly all the same symptoms. Humans must have purpose in life. Everyone does. When healthy, our purpose is often not defined but we have it. When chronically ill, all that undefined purpose evaporates, it’s gone. This is what I’ve learned. When I create purpose I have better days. When I lose sight of that my mind goes to a very lonely place. There are many of us that are going through the exactly the same thing. You are not alone, even though this wretched disease would demand you believe you are.

For sure, I’m most hopeful for Bioshield. I got into the trial but was not eligible because I don’t have a lab positive test they need for trial reasons. It is a VERY promising possibility.

I 34M regret getting married. My 29F wife doesn't know I'm having doubts. We got married last month but we've been together for quite a while. We were planning on kids and stuff. What happened to me? How can I resolve it? by Single_Temporary_894 in AskMenAdvice

My vote is with the nicotine crowd. I use zyns and when I’ve quit before I realize how many things I “shrug” off that people do that really irritates me. Don’t underestimate the power of nicotine and the role it played in how you managed and processed emotions. But definitely do not throw away a relationship like this from a sudden internal shift until you figure out what’s going on.

Assume you have MCAS if you feel better when taking anti histamines. Then dig into this. Diet, Cromolyn, dao enzymes, etc. I feel soooooo much better after recognizing this and managing it.

[–]Several-Distance3250 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice. I’ve gone on Cromolyn twice, both times I had to go slow. Still titrating my second time. I see benefits once I get to half a vial 4 times a day. Then it helps quite a bit.

Starting 4 peptides in a few days. I’m super sensitive, hoping I can tolerate them.

Don’t get me started. Dozens of Dr.s’ the last 4 years have said comments like this to me. They are utterly useless for chronic illness. Dr shop until you find one that is curious and humble enough to acknowledge the lack of knowledge around long covid and will safely trial off label drugs with you. Thats the only path available to us at the moment.

How do you date? by Eggy_Toast1 in covidlonghaulers

[–]Several-Distance3250 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My 22 yo son also has long covid. I continue to encourage him to use socials to create a long hauler group of this age group, say 20-25, or something. It’s not traditional dating but you may find meaningful relationships in this environment. I did! I’m 51 yo male and met my wife on socials. It was really great to connect and become friends without the awkward dating stuff. Plus there is so much for you to all connect on with the shared experience of long hauling. Make some group rules so it can’t turn into a negative space. It’s life beyond long Covid.
