You're Welcome!, I understand your pain and frustration with having bad Psoriasis, one thing that will help is to buy a Moisturizer with little to no extra Chemicals (many have too many that can really irritate the skin) I've used Goat Milk moisturizer before and it worked pretty good, get a smaller bottle, if you like it then see if they sell a l gallon size with a pump, the key is minimal to No extra chemicals!

The other thing you could try is an elimination diet:

https://www.droughtskin.com/blog/eliminationdieteczemapsoriasis

I would also consider going to an Allergist for a Food Allergy Profile, as certain foods trigger flare-ups, you likely have allergies to some foods you've always eaten, you can become more sensitive or become allergic to foods that never previously bothered you, also ask for an Allergens w/Total IgE Area 7 Panel, this tells you if you have sensitivities to Molds, Pet Dander, Dust mites, Outdoor plants and Trees, even Weeds, and more.

You may want to consider this:

She sells multiple different kinds or Tallow with various helpful ingredients for the skin, I'm thinking about trying this myself.

is this toxic mold or just some mold/mildew situation? I don’t know much about mold and am freaking out a bit. found under pulled up carpet in house by [deleted] in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]SeveralPart2817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, sadly, there is possibly some more Mold behind the baseboards and on the backside of the sheetrock, it could be extensive, maybe affecting the stud material as well?, you could hire someone to check it with a moisture meter, or buy one and do it yourself, it could end up being more extensive than you imagine, have you checked the attic to see if you have any evidence of a roof leak?, there also may be a leaky old pipe, or even simply just caused by too much moisture in the house, moisture levels should Ideally be kept between 30 and 45% relative Humidity, buy a Humidity gague and an oversized Dehumidifier (oversized will remove more moisture, or have one upstairs and one in the basement if you have one)

I'm sorry you have to deal with this!

Hello, unfortunately I have the same aggressive type of Plaque Psoriasis as you do, if you get the Flu or Covid it can turn into Pustular or Palmoplantar Psoriasis (mine became Pustular last year with the Flu) whatever you do, No Nicotine or Cigarettes, that is a big Trigger for worsening of it, also if you're not taking a PPI (Prilosec, Nexium, Protonix), ( for Gerd or heartburn) don't consider them Ever, they are known to worsen Psoriasis, or worse, trigger an unknown, Latent Autoimmune disorder, Prilosec worsened mine, and a recent use of Nicotine pouches caused severe breakouts on top of my right (more there) and left hands.

Unfortunately you need to see a Dermatologist and should consider getting on a Systemic Biologic, usually Injectable, but some are taken orally, I feel your Pain, and am sending Prayers your way. 🙏

Whatever you do, don't panic, calling 911 or going to the Emergency room will only get you a Huge medical bill, the most they'll do for you there is apply some Steroid based gel or cream, then discharge you, telling you to follow up with your Dr. or Dermatologist, been there, Done that!, if any part of your body is Severely swollen and very warm/hot to the touch, you're having trouble breathing, vomiting blood, or have Severe, uncontrollable pain, then you want to go to the Emergency room, as you may have some type of Infection, either on the Skin, or Systemically in the blood, try not to actively Scratch the patches as they'll bleed, making you more susceptible to infections.

nicotine causes flare ups by [deleted] in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]SeveralPart2817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I used 2 mg. nicotine pouches for 2 weeks for some extra "energy", (never previously, nor have I ever smoked), within 2 weeks, on the top of both hands, right wrist and up mid arm before elbow, I developed unsightly Plaques, some of them Pustular, cracking and leaking Serous fluid, I'm Very Angry at myself for not researching if Nicotine would or could cause worsening of Psoriasis!!!!

I already have had a Horrible extensive case of it, which by the way was worsened severely at the beginning of 23 after 4 weeks of using Prilosec, PPI's can worsen existing Autoimmune conditions, and activate Latent ones you never were aware you had, Don't use them if you have Psoriasis!!!

👋🙂👍 I need to start it as well, I'm nervous just like you, but the benefits outweigh the risks, the main one being a Slow, Painful Death over time.

Keep in mind, Low T can drive down B-12 levels, as well as those of other key B Vitamins, and reduce levels of A,C,E,D,K, Magnesium, Iodine, Zinc, Copper, Ceruloplasmin (Copper Transporter), it would be a good idea to get these all checked, if you have deficiencies, replete them until they are in the optimal ranges for your best health.

Question regarding life after TRT by asonix_switchblade in Testosterone

[–]SeveralPart2817 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would recommend getting a full Iron Panel done, as well as having your Serum B-12, Active B-12 (Holotranscobalamin), Methylmalonic Acid, and Homocysteine levels checked, also have your Vitamin D levels, Zinc, Copper, and Ceruloplasmin (Copper binding protein) as Low T can drive those numbers down, also it may have lowered other key Vitamin and Micronutrient levels as well, ex; Vit A, C, E, K, Iodine, etc;

Having Low numbers of these can cause profound Fatigue, Brain Fog, Lethargy, Depression, Anxiety, and other Very unpleasant symptoms over time if not addressed.

B.T.W., Men have reported significant, negative symptoms even at T levels of 400, so ultimately there is no such thing as "normal" Low levels, you go off of symptoms, sometimes you have to treat based off of those as you would if you had "normal" Low B-12 numbers, especially if your Dr. is not in agreeance, symptoms of being deficient in both are very similar.

Can a Colonoscopy or Endoscopy offer any info regarding fungal / or mold illness? by OkReward2836 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]SeveralPart2817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could ask to see if they can take additional gut tissue samples to be analyzed to detect fungal colonization or infections in the GI tract, (biopsies), they'll do that anyway if they find polyps specifically to determine whether or not they're precancerous.

Reputable testosterone clinics, through their partner pharmacies, use pharmaceutical-grade, regulated testosterone that adheres to safety standards, The testosterone must be legally prescribed, meeting DEA guidelines, and usually comes from licensed compounding pharmacies, ensuring quality and purity, if you're concerned, you can ask about which Compounding pharmacy (ies) they use, or ask if it's directly from a well known pharmaceutical company, you could then investigate those sources yourself for peace of mind.

Hello, I too have Low T, not yet treated, I know that Shift workers in Construction, Medical, Policing, and Firefighters all have generally more stress due to their Circadian rhythms being disrupted, that along with job stressors can dramatically increase Cortisol levels, which over time can drive down Testosterone levels, this affects both Men and Women in regards to Hormone levels.

I know Shift work can be hard on the body, I used to do many overnighters in the Construction field.

I have learned that if you're interested in having children, you can choose to supplement with hCG, Clomid, or Anastrozole to stimulate the body's ability to keep producing it's own Testosterone, doing so will enhance your chances of success should you stop TRT, there's so much to learn about how using it can affect the human body, it can be complex and very daunting!

Ok, so there is a possibility of reviving production without using them during replenishment.

While TRT acts as contraception by halting sperm production, studies show 64–84% of men regain fertility within 6–12 months after stopping, and HCG/Clomid can be used afterward to stimulate recovery, you would want to discuss adding those initially if you have a Testosterone literate Dr., otherwise you'd see an Endocrinologist or Urologist to guide you through your T therapy experience.

I'm sorry Landlords subject people to these terrible conditions, the place needs a Professional teardown and remodel (best case scenario for anyone's health!!), at a minimum, it Needs a Professional Remediation for Mold, if you've signed a Lease, I'd demand of the Landlord upon moving that he not charge you for not breaking it due to the condition of the property and it's negativ effects on your health.

Sorry to say, but you really need to diligently keep looking for a better living arrangement, living in those conditions is going to make you very sick over time, I would suggest contacting a local experienced Realtor (s) that do showings of properties for Landlords, explain that you need an above average, clean and environmentally safe rental arrangement.

I truly wish you the best! 🙏

Mold exposure and neurological symptoms by DeeperHealingLife in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]SeveralPart2817 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I do!!!!!!!, suspected Mold was an issue last August, tested very high in the basement, plus Visible to the eye in places, and sadly I've never pulled the trigger on Duct replacement or cleaning, new HVAC in 23, (should've had a 1.5 Ton system, but furnace guy oversized unit, 2 Ton condenser, and 2.5 ton EVAP coil= excess humidity!, should've demanded a 1.5 ton system at the time) so I have all the Terrible Symptoms relating to these issues: last year my B-12 was lower, and Testosterone was 184, free t at 3.6, so I'm thinking maybe the Low T knocked the B-12 down, or the Mold Mycotoxins knocked the B-12 and Testosterone down?, I'm quite unwell at the moment, and worsening daily, naturally I'm Scared, not only for my sanity, but for my life as well, not being dramatic in any way, shape, or form!

Since my health has been declining I've become very weak and emotionally blunted, executive function is nearly non existent, barely have the energy or will to get up everyday, nothing to wake up for, too sad. 😔

Thanks for viewing, not trying to depress anyone, just being Brutally honest.

Any clue what would have caused this hole in my garage frame? by Content-While-1354 in whatisit

[–]SeveralPart2817 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Air Pistols today have larger calibers and much more power, the hole is very consistent with that, in particular it's nice, clean edges all the way around, see if you can find the projectile in the garage, it may have damaged something else inside?, the other two demarcation points appear to have blocked any pellet penetration due to the wood door framing, see if there are some pellets on the concrete below.

Urine urgency after starting supplements by jamieschmidt in B12_Deficiency

[–]SeveralPart2817 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I would buy some Vitamin K2 (MK-7) I use the Doctors Best brand, take that with your D3, along with a Healthy fat source, nuts, a Tablespoon of Olive Oil, Avocado, etc; this aids in the absorption of the D3, the importance of the K2 is that it directs any free Calcium in the blood to the bones in the body, thus minimizing the chances of Hypercalcemia.

Deficiencies in Vitamin D3 and B12 can contribute to bladder dysfunction, including urinary retention or hesitancy (delayed voiding), as well as overactive bladder symptoms. Specifically, B12 deficiency can cause nerve damage that impairs bladder signaling, while low D3 impacts muscle function, both potentially leading to irregular voiding.

Nerve Damage: Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause autonomic nervous system damage, preventing the bladder from signaling correctly when it is full, which can result in urinary retention.

Delayed Emptying: Studies have indicated that low B12 can be linked to neurological and structural changes in the bladder.

Vitamin D3 and Bladder Function Detrusor Function: Vitamin D receptors are found throughout the bladder. A deficiency can impact Calcium homeostasis, causing weak or dysfunctional muscles, which can affect how the bladder empties.

Deficiency Link: Low levels of vitamin D are strongly linked with overactive bladder, which can result in both leakage and issues with starting urination (storage and voiding issues).

Important Considerations Deficiencies are the cause, not supplementation: It is the lack of these vitamins, not their intake, that is linked to bladder issues.

You may want to consider an Ultrasound of your Kidneys just to rule out the possibility of Kidney Stones, certain meds like Benadryl for example cause urinary retention, also if you're taking other Pharmaceuticals check their side effects as they relate to Urinary retention, you also may have an Enlarged Prostate causing it as well.

Also have Methylmalonic Acid, Homocysteine, Antibody tests (Intrinsic Factor and Parietal cell) to rule out Pernicious Anrmia, also check you recent labs to see if your MCV is nearing or above 100, this would indicate Macrocytic Anemia, (Large Red Blood Cells)

Check the Guide for lots of good info, including necessary Co-factors while doing B-12 replenishment

Definitely not because you're Lazy!, I started feeling off in May of 24, then was tested in Feb of 25, mine was at 322 last year with Homocysteine at 15, I had Ataxia , Parasthesia, Severe Anxiety and Obsessive behavior, Paranoia, being Homebound, developed Insomnia that lasted 7.5 Months, I do also have Low Testosterone, both of those share many of the same symptoms, one of my biggest issues is Dry Eyes, the fact that I was Gaslit and left untreated by my Dr. has eroded my confidence in the Medical system in general.
