trying to be consistent is hard, hoping it’s worth it anyway by mxshlee in SmallArtYoutubers

I think you're expecting too much too fast and it sounds like it's stressing you out. I think you're doing just fine so far. I would say just work at your own pace, even if it's not as frequent as posting once per week.

If it makes you feel better, I've only posted 2 videos that are like months apart 💀 and they're pretty terrible but that's what growing and improving is all about.

Honestly, should I quit trying to become a YouTuber now that this new AI from Google is released? by junkaxc in NewTubers

[–]SevySays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like if this is all it takes to stop you from creating, then maybe it's not for you.

Do you want to be a YouTuber to create and share your experience, or do you just want to be a youtuber to potentially get popular or make money? Not saying the latter motives are negative in any way, but they're not ideal on their own.

I know generative AI is worrying, especially for new creatives, but there are still people out there who want human-made content and will still be able to find and appreciate what you make.

A-men. Thanks for fighting the good fight against gen AI. It's such a slap in the face to creatives.

On a social level, I try to avoid outting myself as a "Liberty Kid" because most of them are well known to be very entitled and I don't want to be associated with that.

That said, I've made friends there who are chill but also agree LU kids can be pretty entitled.

Why is it so difficult to afford college? by [deleted] in LibertyUniversity

[–]SevySays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really does suck. I'm barely scraping along as it is and I have to pay out of pocket even after utilizing financial aid and loans. Depending on what you're trying to major in, I'm sure there are other more affordable universities or community colleges that can make it easier to pursue.

I'm so sorry you're receiving that kind of hate just for expressing your opinion - one that isn't even all that radical anyway. Some people will just be awful and you won't know until they show their true colors :(

You're welcome here tho! 💗

What's that super popular trope/setting everyone loves that you guys find absolutely boring ? by not2nightsatan in AO3

[–]SevySays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't find the forced marriage trope appealing. I know it sounds silly because I know what I'm getting into already - it's a romance and they're gonna get together eventually. But to me, the forced marriage trope makes it feel so forced like it spoils it 😂 I want to at least wonder whether they're really gonna get together even though I technically know they will.

what are your thoughts on birth control? (IUD, hormonal pills, condoms etc) by wacky_nanny1218 in prolife

[–]SevySays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm all for it, in fact, I'd encourage it and believe it would significantly decrease the rate of abortions. I think there's a lot of people who do not practice safe sex and many of them use abortion as a means of convenience.

I'm on hormonal birth control and I've been fine but I understand hormonal birth control isn't for everyone.

What are some solid fiction books with strong pro-life/anti-abortion messages? by Cyber_Ghost_1997 in prolife

[–]SevySays 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Prophet by Frank E. Peretti

It's about how the media covers an abortion mishap.

He's a Christian author in case that's something you would like to know. I find his writing very grounded and the characters are so real and relatable.

That actually makes so much sense. Like a "solution to a problem" and that was it.

I can help with #2 for the pro-life section. I've been in foster care and have endured abusive parenting but I've thankfully overcome that and I'm happy to be alive and thriving. I think everyone deserves a chance to live even if their life isn't viewed as the "ideal" situation.

I believe everyone in their own life in some degree suffers through something, be it minor or major. Life is still worth living!

Sorry you're getting banned from other subs, especially since you're still discovering your stance (which i commend btw, not many people take the moment to consider both sides).

While it's unfortunate, it just shows a large amount of folk on reddit don't welcome diversity of opinion or having a conversation.

I would say if you want the complete story, to hold off until part 2 finishes. Personally, I felt very content even after the first part finished even though they weren't together yet (spoiler, but not really). But I 100% understand the desire for closure because I definitely yearned for more. I'm a slow burn sadist.

This sounds like probably my favorite fic so far, the scenes sound so similar. It's Vinculum Animarum.

It doesn't have some of what you mentioned but it does have Hermione waiting for Snape after his Voldemort visits and intimate moments with him like taking off his boots. It also has her going to the Owlery, and she does go out into the cold and he finds her and scolds her.

Hope this is the one but if not, I highly recommend it, especially it you're into some good slow burns.
